How did you meet your current significant other? *merged*

private new years eve party of a "friend". i almost didnt go, but i didnt really find anything else so i went there. same goes for her, she was this close to not going. i saw her there, sat down next to her and started taking part in the conversation she was having with a friend of mine. soon it was just us talking. we didnt talk that much after that initial conversation because two other guys were hitting on her hard and i wasnt to offensive, even though i liked her.

later at the party, when it was getting late and i could see she was bored by the guy who was hitting on her, went up to her and said: "hey, do you want to get out of here together?" and she agreed. so i walked her home, didnt try anything freaky, got her number, called her the next day, chatted for hours on icq, met 3 days later at her house to watch a movie (nothing happened), met again at my house and by the 7th we were a couple.
 
Blind date arranged by my neighbour (had only lived there 6months).

I had actually seen her around acouple of times (lives around the corner) and had hoped it may be her, but couldn't tell from description she gave me.

I opened the door and Wow!

5 1/2years later and she still can make me go wow! :D
 
I just transferred schools and he found me on Myspace and said something like "I noticed you go to my school but I've never seen you before" and I told him I was new and blah blah blah. We decided to hang out and we clicked right away.
 
At work... I had a massive crush on him, and he had a massive crush on me, but neither of us thought we had a chance. I had a boyfriend at the time, but I broke up with him and one week later we were all staying after work getting drunk (we worked in a bar). I had told my friend that I had a crush on him, so she told him... We had a very romantic first kiss in the top of a building looking out over the whole of London... And the rest is history!

to the people with myspace stories, please tell me your age ends in "-teen".

my s.o. and i met spinning records on the same nightclub circuit several years ago. we were both house DJs.
 
at work.. he worked for someone else across the road (we work at a horse racetrack) we'd see each other and talk frequently... after a couple of years of just talking and such, we finally went out and we've been together for over a year now :)
 
We were friends for a while before the idea even crossed my mind. Actually, I didn't even realize I liked him 'til my other friend said she had a crush on him...which made the idea of pursuing him even less appealing--no screwing over friends for boys. He made it clear he didn't like her as more than a friend so we all went back to normal just hanging out and being friends.

Official unofficial first date where we breached the friends thing: went out to see a movie and then walked along the beach...and then drove 30 minutes to another beach more suitable for some moonlit swimming. One blanket to share as a towel and curling up to stay warm...and then the kiss! Mmm!
 
We were friends for years and I totally was in love with him but he didn't know I existed. then when my marriage started falling apart he was there for me.
Then one day I was like we should do it. We did and then after awhile he told me he loved me and we have been in this world wind ever since!!
 
Bluelight lol, however we met about a week later in person at infected mushroom (we had both planned on going anyways), & that's when we got together :) I don't remember either of us pursuing the other. He kissed me first, but it was very much equal.
 
BL- I think BL should cast commercials like E-harmony. Thats what my son says anyway. But he says it way too hilarious!
