How did you get off your butt today?

6km run in about 35mins. my legs are sore and i got a blister form the new shoes, should of worn socks.
100 sit ups

1/2mi jog in foggy/ light-rain to help wake up.

am jelly of your incline benching- am entertaining the idea of actually hitting the iron soon (and have been doing basic resistance work in preparation for a couple weeks, as the idea's been in my head). Think hearing my young half-brother up north is becoming a monster as a highschooler has me feeling weak ;P

am also 100.0% going to be back on bmx very soon- and have no intention of stopping running/distance riding. unsure how i'm planning to make all of this work at the same time :/

Heh, I'm playing with fire when I do incline due to old rotator cuff injuries, so I'm starting back super light... Baby steps. I would love to get back into bmx, but I'm just too tall to ride a 20" frame anymore. It's like a minibike now.

Am thinking of an eventual relocation back to the mountains, in which case snowboarding it is. I've been a couple times and love it.

Today was my first day back at gym after a few weeks of serious laziness. I had a big New Year's, so I'm still feeling a little wobbly, but I managed 10 minutes on the step machine, 10 minutes on the treadmill, 100 crunches, and a whole lot of stretching. I've decided that I want to be able to do the splits by the end of the year.

Ran, my shins are killing me but I really like running.
Did abs and butt with my sister, I finally got her to go to the gym with me. She has all sorts of knee/hip/spine issues though so it makes finding exercises she can do difficult.

^yeaaaaaah - Done a few - just the chakras I really need to balance - the other's are either not necessary at the mo due to needing to balance the lower ones (like crown), or simply they're in fair balance already. Only got 2 which I REALLY need to work on. :)

Half an hour of vata-pacifying hatha asana.

I'm going to TRY to make it a point to post here. I am 30 pounds overweight and really need to exercise and eat better and could really use the support of fabulous people like BlueLighters.

RE: CHAKRA MEDITATIONS - Shirley McClaine - of all people - put out a Chakra Meditation VHS tape in the 1980's. I think it's torrentable or easily found on EBAY. I used to use it and it really works! I really liked it. Cheezy, yes! Worked! Yes! My biggest "clogs" are in my solar plexus and my heart.

Another good Yoga Tape to try is INHALE YOGA WITH STEVE ROSS that used to air every single morning on the Oxygen Channel. Vinyasa Flow to Rock and Roll with other stuff added. Really Hard but fun. Steve Ross used to play second guitar with Fleetwood Mac!!!! He has a yoga studio in Santa Monica and he's a sarcastic funny guy. I have 5 video tapes but these new fangled flat screen TVs don't have inputs. There are 6 or 7 episodes if you do a torrent search. I've been using those.

Does anyone know how to transfer a VHS, cut out the commercials, and make a DVD? A link to an object would be much appreciated. If I can do it, I'll share the DVDs...

Love,
ChubbyGwennie

I spent most of my day permanently imprinting asscheek indents into my dining room chair, browsing the interwebs and this forum, including a quick snoop through the "post your body thread." And then I saw all of those fab bodies that I recognize I won't have until I create my own and finally dragged myself to the gym. 45 minutes of various cardio ensued. Feels good.
