How Did You Get Introduced To Your Drug Of Choice?

Erowid.org Just started researching more things after I started smoking weed and eventually started reading about LSD. I searched high and low and finally found some. That's about it.
 
I had always wanted to try heroin from being about 12 and when i had left school i became friends with my friends sister whose husband had just gone to jail. I had been pestering her to let me try it and she did! I think she wanted a 'smack buddy' with her husband being gone. I dont blame her though,it was my choice.
 
Nice idea for a thread. Mine is heroin. It was five years ago.... My best friend and I had tried EVERY drug together for the first time. Well, the first thing either of us did without each other was heroin. He called me one morning to tell me he did it. I got extremely mad, as even though I had been doing a lot of drugs, heroin still had a stigma with me. I also thought he'd shot it, and we hadn't even thought about doing that yet.... but the next time I went to his house, he offered me a line, and when I saw he wasn't shooting it, it didn't seem like a big deal. So my anger turned to jealousness/curiosity, so I took a line. Wow... I still remember....
 
Gradual climb

Hey, my drug of choice when i was younger was weed. Then i quit that and was clean for 10 years. I then injured my right leg at work and was put on all kinds of painkillers before the doc finally settled me on a combo of stupedol and Oxycotin. After my leg got better i then went on to have my son who had to be delivered by emerg c section. Suffice it to say, the doc messed up and i have been in constant pain for the past 14 months. Doc won't help me so i have been self-medicating" as he calls it. I call it survival.
So now, my drug of choice is Oxys and stupidols when i can get my hands on em.
 
To keep it short I was in the end of grade 7 (12yrs old) and I wanted to try 'drugs'.....I discovered erowid, and my first thought was I want to try LSD. I'm 22yrs old now and still I haven't had LSD, I've had 2c-e, mdma, mda, 2c-i, 5-meo-dmt, but never LSD. I thought that weed was a good introduction...erowid was my life until I tried pretty much everything on his list other then the DOx, LSD, N-N-DMT and a few others.
 
I was drunk with some friends and randomly turned to my buddy and said "hey, know where we can get some acid??"

He makes some phone calls and 15min later I have 10 tabs in my hand.

ANNNNYYWAYY, last summer I stopped at my boys house after work,

and he had a bag of assorted pills that somebody owed him. In that bag

of tricks was a single bag of heroin. PAC MAN to be exact. He asked

me if I wanted to try it with him, and I was kinda hesitant at first, and

then I was like fuck it. We did Oxys and shit all the time anyway. So he

dumps out the dope, and hes like "were both doing half of it." I wanted

to do less since I was still getting high on 10-15 mg of Oxy at that point.

Eventually I said ok, and snorted half of my half. I felt it kick in really quick.

A few minutes later, I said fuck it, theres only a little bit left, and ripped it.

I got high as FUCK. I couldnt believe how high and excellent I felt. I was

sweating my ASS OFF, because it was August and I was high as hell. I dont

think Ive ever had sweat pouring off my forehead like that ever haha. Then

we picked up the guitars and started playing some serious slamming death

metal shit loud as hell, enjoying every second of the high. That was such an

amazing day, such an amazing high. The rest is history, now im shooting up

daily, and my boy is in pretty sad shape to say the least. H is a motherfucker.

Heroin & crizzackk with a sprinkle of tweak because like most things you cant fully appreciate life unless your in jeopardy of losing it.
 
Started Using Marijuana At 11 Out of curiosity and continued to smoke when I realized it helped The Chronic Stomach Pain I suffered from since I was 6-7 years old.I later down the line,when I was about 14 my gf was in a serious Car crash and was getting Percocet 5's and Oxycontin 10 mg.I then Realized that they completely Eliminated my stomach pain and used everyday all day.Eventually I came clean with my doc,and that I had been self maedicating the Pain with Opiates.He made my life easier By Prescribing me Oxycontin 80 mg Tablets,The rest is history,and I am now trying to get clean again with methadone.

This is my second time on methadone,as they took me off after I had a major life saving surgery,Cause they felt the methadone wouldnt help the pain very much,since I had been on it for about 2 years.They switched me To Hydromorphone and Fentanyl,and I relapsed and began abusing the meds heavily,shooting the Hydromorph and nodding out and drooling on myself everynight.

Now that I had the surgery and had a foot of diseased intestine removed,I no longer suffer from chronic Stomach pain,I also have 6 weeks of clean urine tests at the local clinic(2 tests a week so 12 clean tests)People demonize methadone because of its withdrawal and its more addictive then H....But Im gonna try to avoid the withdrawal,by lowering very slowly,and not dropping off until Im at 1 mg or even less(my local clinic lets you go as low as you want before Dropping off)

about as typical as it gets.
