How did you find your's?

heroin connect? let me first be clear in sayin that i am not asking for anyone to tell me how to find a drug dealer. i understand the rules against that. i'm curious to hear some of your experiences / stories about how that person came into your life. i know a good percentage would say that connect was part of their crowd at some point, or a FOAF made an introduction, etc. but for the people who don't have that type of crowd or those kind of friends, maybe someone would enjoy the nostalgia of reflecting on how they were at the right place at the right time, or whatever interesting circumstances under which this special friendship came about
i hope this is ok to ask and that i'm asking in a way that doesn't violate the rules. if i'm wrong i apologize in advance and of course respect the decision of the mods.
just a little background ~~ i am beyond my 'active addiction' days but i do use vicoprofen and oxy IR recreationally, as often as possible. i can get a small vic script here and there - the roxy is not obtained by prescription and the money is a major deterrent. i've heard how much more financially manageable heroin is and i would really like to try it [but not by IV ever, i hope]
anyway i guess i've said enough. i've been wanting to post this question for a long time and i will anxiously await any replies, for which i thank you in advance. ~Joy

I met an old man through a friend. He had lost a leg so he couldnt drive his own car because it was standard transmission (you need 2 legs) so he asked me to take him to western union 6 or 7 times over the course of like 2 weeks. He would then drive his sisters car into Mexico, and come home with a fkn hockey puck of tar. He chopped off a chunk and said "Get me $$ for this" (dont remember how much) and then lopped off another chunk and said "this is for your personal use" . We continued this for a couple of years until he got busted. So i was making money in addition to my job. It wasnt long before I was making enough money to quit my job. This went on for years.

Oh, and if it seems like im glorifying what i did, or romanticizing it I have to say I wound up in prison for 5 calendar years, lost my wife, my son, my car-everything was gone.

Sorry to hear that man, it's funny because you kinda sound like my dad. He ended up sellin a lot of crank, but bought heroin for personal use. He did 3 years on crank charges and a year on 4 lb's of pot. He ended up losing everything as well and though it was rough for awhile when I was a kid, me and him ended up having a best friend relationship instead of father/son. Obviously I'm a grown man now ready to have my own little ones, but I notice that fathers who fcked up usually get empathy from their children and are able to relate better.

I met my dope dealer through a girl I got opanas for. I had an opana connect who would sell me up to 150/month (40mg stopsigns) When he ran out (which he did a lot) she would go get dope and I'd do my regular monthly bounce back n forth with oxy's and subs trying to make it to the next script. I got introduced to some hard ass old gang banger from camden and he ended up high up the ladder. He sold to the blocks in camden and kept me as a small time buyer (relatively since I was buying 10 bundles/wk)

My new dealer has been selling on the same set in camden for 10-12 years. My mom knew him when he first started. He's also a higher up and doesn't even show his face on the block any more. I haven't dealt with small time guys in awhile. Usually it leads to crappy product or getting beat.

If I move to a new city or something where I don't know anybody... I just go to a neighborhood famous for drugs and crime, look for the most strung out looking mother fucker I can find and ask him/her for some dope. You'll strike out a few times because most of them will just tell you, "sure..just give me your money, and I'll be right back..." hah, so you need to wait until you find somebody straight up whose willing to actually take you somewhere in exchange for a few bucks or a bag or two. I've done this plenty of times if I had no connect or was in a new place. It's not the safest way to do it but...hah, it's the only way if you truly don't know anybody. By the way, wouldn't this thread be more suited to drug culture? There really is no question about HR or drugs specifically being asked.
