Hey just got a G of coke last night and am wondering how it affected my friend for a lot longer than me. We both did about the same amount.... actully my friend did prob. a little more than me. He has more experience with snorting Coke. We both snorted about 5 good sized lines each @ about 11:45. When we got back to my friends house @ about 12:50, I had stopped feeling the effects but my friend was still goin, talking my ear off. He still seemed to be high off his ass untill about 3:30am, and I must say my friend has more experience with coke than me. Kinda sucked cause he was talking my ass off the whole night and I was tired as hell. Just wondering why he was able to be fukked up so much longer than me tonight...

Different metabolism, different diet, different physical attributes, different age, different upbringing, different value sets, diffent experiences, different minds, different receptors, different genes.

pinger's hit the nail on the head. It has nothing to with "experience", it just different body chemistry.

^^^ This sounds like the most likely answer ;)
Some people might just REALLY have a weird reaction to cocaine, another idea is that the coke wore off but he kinda tricked himself into thinking he was still wired, I mean, I am sure he was still high on his energy but the cocaine had probably left him by then...

Didn't I read something here the other day about some class of pharmaceuticals he could have been on prolong the effects of cocaine by half an hour or so?

Cocaine is metabolized by CYP3A4. It has been shown to be inhibited by ergotomine, medzolam, erythomycin . That last one is pretty cool, not to difficult to get your hands on. I imagine these would lengthen the high.
Also there is variation amoung individuals in the expression of these various enzymes. This may be the case here.

Is your friend taking Wellbutrin or Effexor? Both of these antidepressants are known to prolong the cocaine high.
Also, if your friend has bipolar, that might explain it as well; many bipolar people have atypical reactions to drugs, which often involve the drug being stronger and/or lasting longer.
