How common is deep-throating?

Just wondering how many people on average can perform it? I was able to do it the first time I gave a blowjob w/o any real problems. Does anybody have a story they want to tell?
 
It's not hard... just takes practice....

Or... willing to suffer the initial gag reflex.

There are times where it's a little too much, but most of the time a little practice can get you where you need to be.

I know people that can do it, Cyborg, but it is not a skill i actively practise. As someone else said, you have to get past the gag reflex firstly to be able to get further.

And i have always hated putting things in my mouth/ throat far enough to make gag. Cocks or otherwise.

Not many, however given the right aides ;) you'd be surprised how many would find that new skill easily learned =D
 
i caan deep throat, not for long though.. i assume it takes practice, as i noticed it gradually got a little bit easyer. You really have to relax your throat. The gag thing can be embarrassing so i wouldnt practice unless your comfortable but then i think it'd be do-able for anyone really :)
 
the best way to stop your gag reflex is to literally trigger it everyday for say ten minutes i.e shove something like a carrot,cucumber or cock down your throat everyday.. your body eventually stops responding to the gag being triggered.....at least that's what a sword swallower said on a documentary.
personally it's never been a problem to me even if my gag is triggered i just pause a moment and then carry on.
I think because i really enjoy doing it on my partner it's easy and feels natural...i honestly cannot imagine doing it to another person ever.=D -it is so much fun though just having some balls dangling out of your mouth!lol=D
 
Judging from guys and girls I've talked to it's not thaaaat common but it's not terribly rare either. Maybe 2 in 10? (<-- very rough estimate).

I have such a bad gag reflex that I vowed that I would only ever attempt deep throating for someone I was in love with. Well, I feel in love with my current bf and attempted it, and it's actually a lot easier than I thought it would be. You just have to keep on gently pushing yourself a little further each time. It's also easier to start practicing when he's semi-erect, the softer the better. Now I'm extremely out of practice, so I'm not exactly a pro, I can't take the whole length yet, and I can only do about 3 strokes at a time before I gag and have to rest for a a moment... but I actually never thought I'd be able to get that far even!
 
I've found it much easier to perform deep-throating on a penis that is at least 7in. It seems that it just passes the gag reflex at that length. With average sized guys I have more trouble because it repeatedly hits it and doesn't make me gag per say but bothers me, and messed up my breathing.
 
I was surprised by how rare it is. I guess I've been able to control my gag reflex because of my medical problems. I've found that relaxing the throat, slowly going down with enough saliva built up, and zoning out is the way to do it. And it's absolutely essential to stay in control of your breathing. My boyfriend gets a little too excited and grabs my head and forces me down and it's hard not to panic. The last time I did it he was able to orgasm -- but it was like being in the Olympics for me.

I've always wondered this myself, cuz guys always flip out (in a good way, lol) when I deepthroat them. I can easily deepthroat just about any cock up to 7-7.5 inches (once they get bigger than that it can be tricky but still doable). It really is just practice, I mean, look at porn stars that deep throat - they don't have giant mouths or something. You have to learn how to position everything/move your head so you can breathe properly and not trigger your gag reflex. Like someone else mentioned, once you've got the whole thing in your throat and you're not knocking into the gag-triggering parts of the tongue/throat, it's no problem at all.
