How come when i smoke weed with xanax i have to take more xanax than usual

i have a rather high tolerance for xanax its just that whenever i smoke pot the xanax turns into anxiety its soo annoying i thoguht they synergized
amd i geet an energized feeling after the weed ehat gives?

High tolerance for xanax = low tolerance for anxiety. Weed is anxiogenic, so you might want to stop smoking it if the pros don't outweigh the cons.

Lol if you get anxiety while on xanax, good luck without. I only ever do weed with benzo's or alcohol to reduce anxiety from the weed. Wish i could enjoy it like i use to.

It's really rather simple. Weed causes anxiety. You have a tolerance to xanax and if you combine the two you will need more xanax than usual to stop the weed anxiety.

IMHO using a benzo to kill the anxiety from smoking pot is really dumb. You're taking something that is fairly harmless overall (pot), but then taking something that can become extremely addictive and dangerous to be able to relax enough to get stoned.

If anything, lay off the puff.

you know it's completely possible to overcome anxiety upon cessation of benzo's. people find alternative ways to deal with it if they still suffer. some overcome it successfully one way or another.

yeah, definitely. do you smoke very often? if so cut back how much you smoke (regardless). you should notice less anxiety. if not then perhaps pot isn't an ideal drug for you to be using very often if you constantly suffer from an uncomfortable amount of anxiety even whilst on a reasonable dose of xanax which should eradicate the problem.

It sounds like the OP is just young and hasn't figured out that weed isn't for him yet.

I've known tons of people that used to get stoned that quit smoking weed due to anxiety, and they are all a lot happier than worrying about getting stoned and dealing with unnecessary issues.
