it hits faster. I mean like minutes.......Phenibut has always hit me fast no matter what way i take it but I bought the FAA version and I think I got a bunk batch but I still had crystals left over from a different container and I notice that if I take just a tiny bit I don't mean the full scoop maybe half of it and leave it on my tongue with that sour taste and wash it down I can feel my brain just speed the F up. I'm one that knows placebo and this ain't it. If I could imagine what I look like when it hits my eyes contract and my blood just feels the phenibut so quickly......I have gained a lot of weight because of Psych med but my metabolizem or how every you spell that word has always been very quick. Can anyone here vouch for me on this?

Come up time is shortened when taking a drug sublingually (under toungue) over oral dosing. This should explain your fast come-up. Since bioavailability is also increased with this ROA you should be able to get off with less of the drug.

How fast does it usually hit you? Average oral doses usually hit me within 90 minutes, with full effects apparent after about 150 minutes. You say you can feel it minutes after placing it on your tongue... how long do you hold it there before washing it down?

I have a suspicion that phenibut undergoes extensive first-pass metabolism and that's why you have to take grams of it (as opposed to baclofen's milligram range, the para-chlorinated phenibut), plus maybe the fact that it's fairly polar and ionized prevents fast GI absorption (somebody correct me if that makes no sense).

I've tried snorting phenibut, but it burns pretty bad so I never tried more than a few times, and it seemed like it did hit me a lot faster, in a matter of minutes, too. And obviously the doses were in the milligram range. Actually the main reason I don't really like phenibut is that it takes such a long time to come up! Feels like I have to plan hours ahead before I want to get high. I'll give the sublingual route a try today and see how it works.

Now today it seems to be more gradual. Like yesterday I could feel it ignite my brain. Today I slightly feel it as it comes on. The FAA version doesn't do jack which is why I think it's a bad batch.

I tried placing half a normal dose in my mouth and holding it there for a few minutes before swallowing. It felt like it hit me stronger and a bit faster, but not by much. The high was somewhat more clean than just plain oral. Awaits more trial and input from others. What's FAA anyway?

I always found phenibut rush hits 15 mins in not hours n yes your tongue is full of blood carriers to brain

FAA mean free amino acid. It is just a flavorless type of phenibut. They say use less because it's more but either mine is bunk or I have no clue how to gadge it.

Interesting. First time I tried phenibut it was Na salt I think, because the taste was pronouncedly salty. Now I have the HCl salt and it seems to work better. Is your FAA completely tasteless and inactive? If so, I'd say it's bunk. I can't see why the free acid would be tasteless.

Back to the topic though, after several trials I'd say that placing it on tongue works about twice as fast and requires smaller amount, probably around 2 times as well. Not sure if I'll be using this way of taking it though... the taste and acidity of pure powder is just too much!
