I've been using heroin and opioids for a over 5 years now. My preferred method of use is IV. I've been through my binges and feel that I have strong enough will-power and enough experience to avoid the pitfalls of addiction. I know that I am certainly mentally addicted, as much as I am addicted to good sex, good food, and good herb. I have been caught up in the legal system for many years and I am at a point in my life where I just want to live peacefully and enjoy the occasional indulgence. I am tired of dealing with pigs, snitches, liars, junkies, scammers, etc, etc! Does anyone have any ideas on how I can continue my recreational use of heroin/opioids whilst avoiding the risk of unwanted and unnecessary problems? Pain Management has been my only thought, but I'm not really sure how to go about getting a supply that would be sufficient in strength and quantity as I don't have any actual physical problems. Honestly, I just want to chill out every now and then without the risk of hurting my family by getting locked up again or dealing with the bad karma of certain (not all, mind you) street dealers and addicts.

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

PS: I'm a new user, so if I'm infringing upon any rules by the wording of this post, please, let me know and I will edit it accordingly.

Did you read the rules? It might give you a better idea if this breaks them or not... ;)

#1 piece of advice I can give you: find a dealer willing to do home-deliveries. Have a friend go cop for you. Don't go copping. That's the best way to avoid legal issues due to opiate usage.

There's more to it than that obviously; LaceyK wrote a lot about this in her blog (likely because this thread could be blog material ;)) but nonetheless, just do a lot of reading on Bluelight, you'll pick up a lot of harm reduction tips - most of which will help you stay out of trouble.

The only way to avoid contact with the law is to only mess with people you have known for a very long time, which is hard sometimes I know, but it is the only way I roll.

Captain Heroin said it perfectly; there is really no way to get busted for what you do in the privacy of your own home, unless you have a warrant out for your arrest, or the police are called for a disturbance call and see a syringe/bong/etc in plain view, which gives them the right to search your home.

Getting a (weak) opiate prescription is useless for a Heroin user, unless you want to stay out of w/d. You will most likely be put on 5/500 or 10/325 hydros to begin with, then to 5/325 percocets, etc. Too many hoops to jump through in pain management for a heavy opiate user, plus there are drug tests, which means you will have to quit using illegal opioids.

From a legal standpoint, if you can't get your H delivered to you, I would only buy from friends. If not, you can order Kratom, and supplement your opiate use with K, so you won't have to cop as much. For example, you can do a large daily dose of Bali at night to keep you out of w/d until morning. Also, if you can control your use, you can buy H more often in larger amounts, to reduce the amount of time you spend on the streets buying drugs.

Inevitably, you must accept that illegal drugs are just that, illegal, and that you might get caught if you continue to use.

You can also go through an "acquirer". Basically, have someone score your dope for you in exchange for a small amount of the score. That's what I do and it eliminates 90% of the risks involved. I have no criminal record despite many years of drug addiction.

Please don't try to go get an Rx for a painkiller if you're not in pain. I don't mind drug abusers, but people that try to get Rx's for something not wrong with them really piss me off because of all of the back/neck problems I have, and I can't get my doctor to give me anything stronger than tramadol because "[I'm] too young."

This is the bottom line - Sorry. If yoiu want to use opioids without fear of the law, be quiet about it.
