Phenethylamines How can I purify 2C-B at home?

You cant just say acetone wash and viola. Thats the point im making, i never said cut your stuff with anything. I proposed a scenario where simple acetone wash wouldnt help much


I was looking at this from a big pharma sugar/starch pill drug design action as well - many have sugar binders

I'm not arguing that an acetone wash solves everything.

I'm saying 2C-B cut with sugar is rare, it is not something someone is likely to encounter, and that an acetone wash is TYPICALLY a lot more useful than an acid/base extraction when specifically cleaning up 2C-B.
One is much more likely to encounter poorly washed 2C-B so TYPICALLY a wash is really the best thing a layman can do.

JFC armchair chemists equipped with AI are annoying..

A rotary evaporator has that setting. For example to prevent bumping they dial it in based on the solvent and temp just enough to gradually pull it which also allows someone to reduce solvent level to a desired amount. This can be improvised with magnetic stirring and a fixed vacuum setting, which you use a needle bleed to reduce the vacuum level to do so.

Has nothing to do with the thread or convo but ok...

Another way to purify 2c-b would be to freebase it and vacuum distill it as an oil. Pretty sure sasha did it. Only reason anyone would do that is it would be cool to see it as a white/clear oil.

Not entirely accurate if 2c b can be purified that way, i dunno, not a chemist, i just wanted info known to stick it to da man for what he has been doing and didnt want to get in the middle of you two having info battle

You think ppl vac distill 2c-b in a roto?

Not really a battle imo. I provided a GC/MS chromatogram showing 2C-B HBr purified by nothing other than acetone wash he brought zero instruction and a chatgpt prompt.

I posted exact technique earlier except using water instead of isopropyl because 2c-b salts arent super soluble in isopropyl and you would have to use quite a bit..

Water works great with acetone as an anti-solvent.

Maybe ill give it a try tho sometime
