How can i not taste the dxm, also how can i not vomit while on it?

I bought Robotussin Multi-Symptom cold, adult sized and it said peak on it. Also, i didn't see acetaminophen anywhere on it so that's good. It was in a green box so hopefully i got the right one. So i was thinking of drinking the whole but i don't want to taste it at the same time because i tasted cough syrup before and damn it tastes horrible. Should i plug my nose or is there a trick to not tasting it at all? Also i don't want to puke that would be horrible, so how can i control that too?

don't be ridiculous and don't take it.

clearly your body is rejecting it if you're puking. if you can't handle the smell or taste, clearly you shouldn't be taking it. no part of you wants it. if you actually wanted to get high off it or you really needed the stuff you wouldn't give a fuck about the taste or smell of it.

In the spirit of harm reduction, if you are indeed going to trip on DXM, and do not want to taste it at all, go to your local big-chain pharmacy and buy a bottle of 8-Hour-Long-Lasting cough gels. They come in red 15mg liquicapsules, and are completely tasteless compared to the syrup. A good first time dose would be to take all 20 capsules, equating to a dose of 300mg DXM.

Make sure you're not on any sort of reuptake inhibitor (SSRI, SNRI) or MAOI when you take it, since it has the potential to increase the risk of serotonin syndrome. Do not mix with any stimulants, again do not combine with stimulants. Most importantly, make sure the "active ingredients" read ONLY Dextromethorphan, as high-dose guafeneisin will get you sick to the stomach, and chlorpheneramine and APAP have terrible and almost fatal side effects at abusive doses.

Hey Stavros! 20mg is definitely not enough dxm to get a good high, sorry to tell you this but the recommended dose of Robitussin ain't going to get you high in anyway whatsoever lmao. I'm not trying to be rude but I think that was kind of a hilarious question. Try drinking atleast half the bottle if you actually want atleast some kind of a high bro.

The doses written on the side of the bottle are per spoonful, not the whole bottle.lol
So, every 5ml (maybe 10ml, depends on brand) dose will contain 20mg dxm 200mg guaifenisin 200mg pseudoephdrine 10mg.
You will need 10-15 doses to have enough DXM to get high but unfortunately you will get unpleasant side effects from the others ingredients at those doses.
Guaifenisin will make you feel sick and/or vomit at that dose and psuedoephrine will make you feel sweaty and restless and could give you palpitations.
Theres good reason why people go to so much trouble to get the correct brand and unluckily you have the wrong one.

DXM isn't really that fun of a drug imo. It would make me throw up too... my stomach just did not like it. There are better things out there! Hope you find something more enjoyable, but be careful and be safe.

Vomiting is a ritualistic part of taking some drugs, like mescaline or ayahuasca, would you tell someone not to take those because their body is simply "rejecting it"?
DXM is likely to make you puke, but if you feel nauseaus just get it out of your system, you'll be glad you did.
Also avoid cough syrups containing guafenesin, that stuff is the main culprit of nausea from cough syrup, DXM should be the only medicinal ingredient.

I have to agree with you... I think one of the best things about bluelight is that we should be, and are often, encouraging people to ask questions about harm reduction and how to make taking dangerous drugs safer so that they can weigh up the decision for themselves to make. I'd rather people felt comfortable asking stupid questions and I answered them instead of feeling intimated by other users. That's the whole point of BL. We all started out somewhere...

Dude, you bought the wrong stuff. The amount of guafenesin in there was going to make anyone puke from the get-go. As some else advised, buy the gel capsules or buy DXM without ACAP or guafenesin in it.

I quite enjoy DXM, don't let that experience put you off. You should've listened to others people's advice re guafenesin going to make you puke.

Do your homework a little better next time. It's dangerous to just neck a bottle of cough medicine when people have told you it's going to make you puke.

You picked up the Multi-symptom. That was the first mistake. That's has phenylephrine hcl in it which in a high dose will lower the seizure threshold. Get gelcaps like wall-tussin which has 20 caps each 15mg Dxm only. Or if you can handle the nausea drink the maximum strength cough syrup robitussin. 5ml has Dxm 15mg and guafinesen.
