Cocaine How bad really is combining coke and benzos ??

So i knoww there are many threads on this and of course everyone recommends benzos as the best thing to ease a coke comedown.
What i really want to know though is can that be dangerous considering you are doing two completely opposite drugs that r efecting ur heart ?

Also what about doing the benzo before coke to take away all anxiety and then doing your blow. Is it ok to do blow while already high on say klonopin low dose (0.5-1mg).?

This would really help me out because cocaine always gives me a super fast heart rate and i know doing a benzo slows it down but could it also be dangerous when you do that?

I am a paramedic, and my standing orders for signs and symptoms associated with cocaine overdose or cocaine toxicity is 5-10mg versed, with repeat in 5 minutes if ineffective. Although remember this is while being monitored by a medical professional, benzo's can and will cause respiratory depression which may lead to respiratory arrest if too much is taken, we have the equipment to monitor your tidal volume, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation and the equipment to intervene if needed, you DO NOT. Especially if the cocaine was taken several hours ago, and depending on which benzo is taken, the half life n such, the benzo's effects may outlast the cocaines, and if you took too much because youre jacked up on coke, it may lead to your local paramedics pumping on your chest. Keep this in mind when dosing. Also beta blockers are NOT the treatment of choice for cocaine overdose, I can explain if someone wants/needs. Hope this answers your question. Be safe out there.

Im sure its not good for your heart.

Only time I would recommend doing both is purely for the comedown.

And even with that... Im talking about when you finish up your Coke/Crack... and when you truly start to feel the dreaded comedown.
Not RIGHT AFTER you finish your last hit or line... Unless you are one of those people that seem to take longer for orally taken drugs to start their effect.

But most brands of Xanax and Klons seem to take effect quickly after being swallowed anyway... As little as 5 minutes.
Thats why I never understood when my buddy would snort that shit. Even after telling him its not water soluble and that it hits you quick when swallowing. He is a total tard. He is the same way with any non-snortable opiate pill as well. After showing him plenty of sources from this website and others... He still tries crushing down Wax Filled Morphine pills and OPs.

The thing is if you take benzos & coke at the same time (not entirely sure why you'd do that anyway but well), the benzos are going to mask some of the effects of the coke, which might lead you to redosing the latter without realizing you're taking way too much --> larger risk of OD. I agree with other people, save the benzos for the comedown.

if you do the benzo first then you should keep the dose low. i find taking a benzo before doing coke ruins it. I don't think the combo is that dangerous, they say uppers and downers don't mix but I don't think benzos have that powerful of a depressant effect on the heart. and if you came to the hospital od'ing on cocaine chances are they might give you benzos.

as a paramedic you must realize the huge fucking safety profile of most benzos. Many people have taken 100mg+ of alprazolam in a night or any number of benzos, some are worse than others of course but the most popular ones are almost impossible to OD on, coke or not. I agree if you're referring to mixing opiates and coke or stimulants, as you can od from that pretty easily but not benzos + stimulants, worst that happens is you black out and do some really dumb shit. No one is gonna be pumping your chest if you eat 200mg of valium and snort a gram of coke. If you eat 200mg of valium and snort excessive amounts of cocaine tho, that's another issue.

and yes jesus christ do not use beta blockers, ended up in the ER with a massive heart rate from that one time.

I have seen plenty of people OD on benzos leading to respiratory depression, and have given them Romazicon to counteract it. Opiates arent the only narcotic that cause respiratory depression, but you know everything a a drug abuser right? I didn't realize your example of people taking 100mg of xanax was something to argue my point about. There are too many variables in play to make the broad statement of " you can't OD on benzo's" such as tolerance, which benzo, and how much. I thought this was a harm reduction website, but you keep making those foolish suggestions, your life, not mine.
