How bad is the nausea from taking Tramadol?

1 tramadol gave me dry heaves for days. Dr. subscribed mom some and so she was sick which caused more back pain from vomiting. Why do Dr's do this?
 
I get nausea from even 50mg of tram, even though I am opiate experienced. Some people are just more sensitive to it for some reason. Try taking it with food, that helps me. :)
