I know ppl on here say that opiates are fairly kind on ya body compared to say alcohol but whats the real truth?

for all those ppl who regulay drink 300mg cwe or so of codeine, have u noticed any health concerns?

i mean it cant be good for ya stomach & used time & time again it must start to have some kind of impact, on your digestive system right?

has there been any studies done?

Physical dependence is probably the most realistic "health concern" for opiates.

As torturous as withdrawal is, we quickly forget how shitty it feels to sweat like a pregnant woman giving birth, yet cold.

Some street opiate addicts are commonly portrayed as emaciated toothless Bloodborne pathogen-having prostitutes. This species of street level users are very common, and this isn't from opiates but I'd say rather from social class. People of low social classes who aren't drug addicted often look like they are in poor health as well. On the other hand, there are addicts of higher social classes who appear to display perfectly healthy and normal lives. Very commonly Doctors, go figure.

So no, opiates aren't really too harsh on your body, unless you become physically dependent. This developed so quickly for me from IV heroin use that I almost always asked myself I was just imagining it.

Your CWE'd codeine probably isn't too much of health concern, although I know it's kind of inconvenient having to extract the shit. I would suggest moving on to a opiate-only containing pharm...actually that might not be the greatest idea. I highly doubt you'd still want to extract codeine by the time your tolerance triples though. Codeine has pretty much no value whatsoever to me, so enjoy while your tolerance allows! I remember how great I felt from the Tylenol 3's back when I was completely opiate naive.... it's funny how now I can smoke a 2.5 mg patch of fucking fetanyl in one sitting and feel very little of that motivated opiate euphoria and instead a slight buzz followed by a nasty next day hangover that wasn't even on par with the buzz I received.

but anyways, before this turns into a novel...

How many years did it take you to get to that level where not even Fentanyl does much for you?

The biggest impact on your health would be that you bugger around with your digestive juices; opiates dry them up. Ever feel an odd stomach after eating a big meal after taking oral opiates? Well when you stop using them the stomach doesn't know what the fuck is going on.

Other than that the possible acetaminophen you're ingesting would be the worst of it.

It's true, the constipation is terrible. It can cause hemorrhoids if I'm not mistaken, and hemorrhoids are something that I would very much like to avoid.

Also, and this is probably uncommon, but I have scratched my legs raw before because of the itching. I woke up with a bit of blood on my sheets. (Yeah, that's how hard I itched my legs.)

Physical dependence is, of course, another concern. I have yet to experience physical dependence/withdrawal, and I have been using for about two years now once or twice a week. But, I am probably the exception and not the rule. (It may one day catch up with me, but I'm holding my breath it doesn't.)

when is cwe?

I am so new to the website and so forgive me, but what exactly is cwe? I am very familiar with opiates, have been on them for a very long time. (Ashamed to say it ) I do have a strong desire to (I am not sure how I am supposed to say this ) um you know with a needle. Is it twice as addicting that way? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

CWE = Cold Water Extraction. A method of separating an opioid from an adulterant such as APAP via dissolving the opioid and filtering out the APAP.
