Opioids How bad for you are opiates for recreational use?

I have 6 oxy 5mg pills and I have no tolerance other than some vicodin the other day.

I was going to take 15 mg doses twice throughout the week.

Would 15mg do any bodily harm I can't find any facts about opiates on the body.
 
you should be fine as long as you can resist the urge to use more..

15mg of oxy when i had no tolerance was a pretty awesome buzz, mixed with some weed makes it extra nice.
 
opiates are reasonably benign in relation to causing harm to the body. of course once an addiction is thrown in and junky behaviour things change. even then it comes down to the user who is neglecting their health.

doses of which you're taking are very small and won't harm you in any way.
 
all they'll do is mess with your body chemistry which isn't a good thing but it's not really bad in the sense that no damage is being done. after they wear off, your body chemistry should return completely to normal.

recreational opiates definatly have made my life more fulfilling/fun

are like going on a holiday for a day/night once every 2 weeks. TWICE A MONTH MAX.
Stick to that and you wont get addicted or any cravings.
 
When used in moderation and recreationally, opioids do no damage to the mind or body. Using too much of any opioid will result in death via respiratory depression/asphyxiation; but as long as the doses are appropriate opioids are non-toxic to the organs (with some exceptions- synthetics like Propoxyphene, Meperidine, etc do have toxic metabolites and side effects).

Opioid addiction does alter brain chemistry (the endogenous opioid system). However, opioid dependancy in the course of medical treatment and recreational or occasional use of opioids do not cause this.
 
To OP: Sounds like the oxy's you got are Percocets (being 5mg and all). The amount you've got is safe, just don't go popping 4-10 Percocets or Vicodins a day weeks at a time, all that APAP (Tylenol) ain't good on your liver (or stomach if you ask me).

Actually I don't have percocets, they are just little round 5mg oxycodone pills.

There are about 10 total but I only brought 6 to my girlfriends.

I have about 40 vicoden but I only bring 6 pills to my girlfriends as to avoid any urges of addiction.

I take days off of klonopin and weed and do like a day or two of opiates.

EDIT: By the way, am I chewing these up all at once or just taking them whole or parachuting or what? I never decided how I would take them. Not planning on snorting from everything I've heard.
 
Most opioids themselves are physically benign (ignoring overdoses here). If I recall correctly, methadone has been linked to liver problems however.

Imagine a lifelong smoker, an alcoholic and an oxycodone addict. The oxy addict is most likely to be the healthiest.

You have the pills with acetaminophen though, right? If so, if you're going to use these often then you will want to do a cold water extraction. Click on the mega threads sticky at the top of this forum and read my CWE guide.

Whilst physically opioids won't damage you, addiction on the other hand can be hell on you in all sorts of ways. Take care. Avoid it. You don't need to look too hard to find many horror stories on here about what addiction does to people.

If you can avoid the pitfalls of addiction, you'll be just fine. But that's easier said than done

Percocet is oxycodone. Percocet is the brand name. Kind of like Vicodin is the brand name of Hydrocodone.

When people around here say Oxy, they are usually referring to oxycontin, which is an extended release form of oxycodone. That's not what you have.

They make 5mg IR oxy without apap..
 
slightly off topic

but I OD'd on GBL today... heart stopped and i was give nondril (wateva heroin addicts get given for OD)

basically I take it GBL wreaks havoc on your insides and brain?

And orlaam could cause heart issues. And I guess you could also count tramadol seizures...



Like others have said, the real issues are od'ing, addiction, and the negative effects of your roa...
 
^ i had never heard of orlaam (LAAM) until you mentioned it just then, phrozen.

i have never heard anyone mention them using it for opiate dependence before, either (obviously since i've never heard of the drug). i'm assuming it's not widely available or known? do you know how comparable to first line opiate treatment it is?
