Go for a run. I find that the exertion gives the mind something to focus on so that it doesn't keep rolling around over itself. You'll still be thinking a lot, but it won't necessarily be as annoying. Plus I've found that I've had some of my best insights once I'm about 6K into a good run; once the glygogen is all gone and the body is starting to think about having to burn fat, for some reason a lot of the background noise cuts out and some very productive (or fun) thinking can take place. IME at least, ymmv of course.

that is a good idea. i know i need to start exercising again. id like to get back into the routine of working out. its just hard to start up again. once i start feeling better [not sick] im gonna start walking/running. its helped me big time in the past. now that im almost a month clean, i think its time...
