I have had coke a few times now, i like it! When I am have a few lines I do want to have more and more but for that session only. I bought a few days ago and have a 1/2 left. But I haven't had any for 2 days now. It is very nice and I enjoy but I want to make sure it doesn't get silly. I think price is a factor that should stop me doing it too much!

Anyone got any experiences with having a little bit like that then it gradually turning into more and more!

Sex on coke is awesome though, and that is probably the biggest attraction to it for me!!

i do about an 8 ball every weekend and have been for awhile and the only time i feel "addicted" is while im doing it. during the week i dont feel like i have to go out and get more but i do look forward to it on the weekends. while im doing it though i sometimes get intense urges that i need more so i just bust out some fat lines.:)

Yeah well i probably couldn't afford that much of the stuff, but as long as my urges to do the stuff are confined to the time i set aside for doing it, then i'll be happy with that! Really is a nice drug though, and i haven't had a comedown at all really when I do do it, although that could mean that I haven't had a huge amount!

Check out the darkside forum, you may get some answers there. I have had a few friends who have been addicted to cocaine but that was after they started smoking it. For me, it serves a very specific purpose during shows and festivals.

Cocaine isn't really "traditionally" addictive like opiates, in the sense that it's not phsyically addictive. It's addiction potential is very similar to amphetamines- psychologically addictive, but withdrawal symptoms can and do occur. After a binge of coke you will be fiending for more. Also, withdrawal from long term use can cause severe depression. If you want a first hand account, check out a post about this Crimson Cloud made a few days ago.

I've been doing coke on and off for 2 years now, but lately I've been scoring high-quality shit very cheap. Last week a friend and I picked up a 1/2 ofz and it was gone in 3 days. And 4 days later we picked up another 1/2 oz and it was gone quicker than you can say charlie. I'm not addicted, I just blew it with him because he payed for it all! HELLZ YES!

anyway, you should be fine. just dont get to silly with it

I don't find coke that addicting while others find it very addicting, the craving for coke is a lot different then say the craving for Oxy.

I'll do coke like one weekend and wont touch it for like 3 weeks and don't care too, now pharma-grade dope on the other hand..........

How addictive is cocaine?

How long is a piece of string?

Noone can tell you how addictive cocaine is but you because everyone is different. Some find it pointless. Others find it the best thing ever. Others aren't bothered either way.
Only you can have control over how much you use a drug, so you are the one who has the final word when you ask that question.

addiction

the rate of addiction for cocaine is about the same as all other 'addictive' substances. for the most part the rate of addiction is right around 10%. it is slightly higher for opiates (not sure of an exact % ) and even higher for nicotine. however, for the most part the rate of addiction is always about the same no matter what its for. whether its sex, alcohol, or caffeine makes very little difference.

another thought

in an earlier post someone mentioned cocaine withdrawl. cocaine withdrawl isn't really from something that coke did to your body. it is like losing something/one your close too. example: the death of a friend or something similar although it is emotional pain can manifest itself physically.

About 10% of ppl i know who use coke are addicted and thats because they tried it in the form of crack... snorting isnt that addictive in my opinion but it depends on personality and shit... coke is only metaly addictive so there would be know physical withdrawl.

There isn't physical withdrawl from cocaine (to clear matters up, someone said that there was). Cocaine is not physically addictive. And though you may feel like shit after doing lots of coke, this is not WITHDRAWAL, it is simply that your brain has taken a beating.

Cocaine causes down-regulation at dopamine sites (which may be permanent) with prolonged use. I cant imagine this not causing some kind of physical symptoms. I buy the theory that physical WD symptoms from coke (which DO occur, I don't care what anyone else says) are simply physical manifestations of severe psych WD, but I think there may be more to it.

^^^
Ok, I might buy your manifestation theory, however that is a different scenario than organic physical withdrawal.

As you get told how addictive cocaine is, i find myself looking for signs that I am craving for it. Sometimes even if i decide i am going to have some, i decide not to just to prove to myself that I can take it or leave it. I do think the media portrayal of coke can make you almost expect to become addicted to it if you start taking it. I dunno, its nice stuff specially what i managed to get the other day!

I've done one bag of coke so far (over 3 parties) and it's been around half a year since my last experience. I do miss coke but it is just too expensive to be worth getting hooked on. It's great for socializing and sex but GBL is fine as well. As long as you don't really have an addictive personality, you'll be fine with coke. Keep it moderate.

Yeah I think i'll be fine with it, i do have good will power. What I find though is its like having a load of cash in your pocket.... if its there you just want to spend it! I have some coke and just want to take it with my girlfriend. When its run out, you feel a bit disappointed (mainly because you paid 50quid for it and it didn't last long!) but then i won't bother getting any again unless there is a specific occasion.

Not everyone who becomes addicted to a drug has a 'addictive personality.' Addicts come from all socio-economic classes and not all have 'addictive personalities.'

i agree. i think there are some people who do have addictive personalities and are just destined to become to addicted to drugs or alcohol or whatever. however, that doesn't mean that people who don't have addictive personalities are safe from addiction either or that addiction will be any less strong for them.
