i have a mandelin 2 tester the reason i ask is ive tested pills and got a reaction but i tested a disprin and it came up as mda just wondering how accurate they really are and should i get another tester if so what is the best one to buy has anyone tryed testing other medication and what response did u get

All kits have their limitations, but I find a combination of (fresh) Marquis, Mandelin and Simons reagents to provide a good indication of what’s present.
Simons is available via the EZ extreme. It is a test for secondary amines, which both MDMA and MDEA are. Providing there are no other compounds present, after first indicating an MDXX like compound with Marquis and Mandelin, Simons will then show whether ingredients include a primary amine (no colour - indicating MDA) or a secondary amine (blue colour - indicating MDMA or MDEA)
Robadope is also in the EZ supreme kit, although I do not trust its reliability from tests I've done. It is supposed to indicate the presence of a primary amine. A good primary amine test together with the above would give indication of a wide variety of compounds and mixtures.
There are a few other substances I know of which also react with MDXX compounds but are not presently marketed as reagents. I hope to investigate these compounds and others in an attempt to find something which specifically reacts with MDXX substances and nothing else.
Currently the best advice is to use testers in conjunction with other supporting information, such as pill reports and trustworthy, reliable acquaintances. Kits have their limitations. This is why health departments are very reluctant to support their use.

robadope is a very reliable test for primary amines. it never fails. when you are testing powder it sometimes shows a reaction. we do not know what causes this, when we take the reference to the lab, it comes out as mdma only. Our opinion is that the powder has not been made properly and that it is benzylamine or another side product from the production process that causes it to react. Unfortunately , the lab does not test for these things, son we cannot validate this..

OKOK

easy e: my cause for doubting the effectiveness of Robadope is based upon tests done with a known primary amine - dexamphetamine. The first test was performed with only a small scraping of a 5mg tablet. Thinking this was too small a sample, the test was repeated with a larger amount but no colour change was observed.
The kit used was relatively new, with the marquis showing good colour indication to amphetamine (where as an older marquis did not show any colour).
Perhaps the hotter climate in Queensland Australia may have caused the Robadope to deteriorate prematurely? Not knowing the contents it is difficult to speculate.

send me an e-mail: [email protected] and I will send you a new one if you send me yours, so I can check what's going... they've never failed before so I am curious as to what might have happened with it..
