If a testing kit get left in the car and get hot, will it affect the testing results?

Depending upon how hot and for how long, the heat will damage Marquis. The reagent will go a dark brown color. Simons is also affected by heat.

No, it was in the car for about 4 hours but you know how hot a car closed up can get. The Marquis still turned color to orange showing Meth and the simons had no reaction. So no dark brown color. If there was a problem, would it only be till the kit cooled down or would it ruin the kit totally? I might go test a known pill to make sure..

Perhaps I've misinterpreted your reply, but Simons should give a positive result with methamphetamine as meth is a secondary amine.

So what would make Marquis have orange spots (the rest clear) and no reaction with simons.

Amphetamine, as opposed to methamphetamine. Depending upon where you live, amphetamine may well be more common.
