This season, I've mostly been making tea out of some thouroughly pulverized Mimosa Hostilis root. I'm not sure, but I assume it's mostly bark. Today, instead of having my morning coffee, I boiled down to a cupful a solution of five to seven grams of the powder and some acidified tap water, which I've prepared for a few days beforehand.
I'm glad I made such a small amount, because I almost ruined the whole brew by using Way too much citric acid. I bet the ph went at least a few integers too low. Well, as a result, I could only drink a single cup, leaving about half a cup on the stove.
I began by having 150mg of moclobemide, an Aurorix antidepressant pill, as a MAO-inhibitor.
After about 45 minutes, I began drinking. The taste was so bitter, I would say it actually hurt, because as I already mentioned, I would have had to use only 1/5 of the acid I threw in the mixture. For some time, perhaps twenty minutes, I just waited. Then, I had to puke - the kind of puking that makes you exhausted and weak to the bone. I walked back to my living room, cleaned my mouth a bit, and after a sudden fit of dizziness, I lay down on my couch, covered myself with a blanket and started thinking about my situation: Am I lightheaded because of blood sugar levels, or is the acidic water interfering with my system this bad? Some interaction with the Aurorix?
After a while, it developed into a familiar psychedelic space, and I decided everything's OK for now, and went into my head. There was quite vivid imagery, but not really typical CEV:s, but rather a dreamlike state, in which my mind would produce an endless animation of thoughts.
The sequence included weird little alien people going about caves, and some imaginary decoration of a definite fractal nature. Pearls and stones bunched in recurring patterns, like droplets. Above the caves there was a lonely vocalist on a hill, singing some weird song, which I then identified as the the Jehtro Tull album playing on my desktop computer. You see, I kind of forgot I existed, much like you do in a dream. I would snap out of it, and then fall back. I felt like I was the god of these mind people, and that I'm similarly in the mind of a god.
Then, I basically came to my senses, and found that I was completely under the blanket, on the couch. I felt good, and I still do. It was refreshing - it sure beat my everyday morning coffee!
No residual effects, total lenght about two and a half hours, vivid but not challenging, physically very sound. Music was extraordinary, increased appetite immediately afterwards. I will repeat - I got fifty grams of root bark today. And all that.
Now, if any of you read this far, I'd like to hear about Your experiences of the smaller amounts of oral DMT, if you've had any.
