Hospital almost killed me then after 9 days my life was like heaven

About 9 days ago I got in a bad car accident and didn't go to the ER. Over the next few days I noticed extreme pain on my left side. I went to the ER and took X-rays and they never gave me my results but anyways being on subutex.... Fentanyl is the only drug they could inject without prescipitayed withdrawls. So I got 1 100 mcg shot of fentanyl and a prescription for 9 sublingual fentyl 100 mcg pill. So I go to the pharmacy to fill and I find out they don't make em anymore. I had the pharmacy call te hospital and they switched it to 5 5/300 norcos instead so I was furious. Over the next few days the pain got worse so I went back and they offered me 2 norcos this time. Now it's 8 days after the accident and I can hardly get outta bed so my mom takes me to her physician/friend and I find out I have 6 cracked ribs and fluid in my lungs. She realized the pain I was I. And new I took suboxone so she gave steroids and the opiate of my choice which I will be on from now on. I first aske for perc 10s 240 and she said that won't be strong enough knowing I was a former heroin addict. So I say how bout roxicodone 30 mgs 120 and she says perfect so now I have 120 roxi 30s w 3 refills and I won't take subutex anymore. God I love this woman. I filled it and since I have Medicaid the rx was $2.00.!!!!! I am also on 120 2 mg xanax and 2 30mg adderalls. So 6 bux for all those. But I can't believe the hospital didn't tell me this. What should i do? Sue? I could hardly breathe and walking was nearly impossible. Oh and I'm supposed to take 4 30mg roxis a day. The only bad thing is I wake up almost crying in pain from the ribs. But thank god I went to this dr. Northwest community hospital sucks ass in Arlington heights Illinois. These roxis are I guess the strongest thing besides opana but these are easy to snort and if I got op 80s it would have cost $300. So now I save $248 dollars a month going from subutex to roxicodone. Man I'm lucky I broke my ribs. Haha sorry I jus want to know what you guys would do in my situation. Like what pills would u get (any kind u want) and what would u do legally to the hospital staff.
 
Dude real ppl who don't abuse medications don't boast like this.....I mean really you had a cracked rib but some people who are in pain and I mean massive pain can't get jack......So I'm just trying to look out after them since this rave has seemed to be more about me than anything.
 
They don't hand out lawsuits that easy.......you could talk to a lawyer tho. You are very lucky that your mothers physician took care of you. Does the hospital know of your past history of being a heroin addict? If so, that may be why they didn't want to give you anythingother than vicodin aafter you found out of the Fentanyl........

When u wake up in the morning and it takes u two hours too get out of bed because of the pain that's when it should be prescribed.... I called my dr who prescribes my subs and said it's totally cool. I just a nap after taking one and couldn't walk down the stairs so don't talk shit..... I've been on this site for 14 years and most of u people are straight up assholes. Fuck u who thinks I'm not in pain..... I haven't done dope in 2 years. And I'm not going back. This fuckin pissed me off

I hope whoever is talkin shits breaks some ribs and tells me how it feels.... Real good huh?

If u knew anything about precipitated withdrawls fentanyl is the only opiate to get the subs out of ur receptor..... So it stops blocking other opiates u ovbiously didn't know that.... And I was doing a prior authorization form for my subs so and I ran out so it saved me from withdrawl too... So I'm gonna sit here watch tv and do nothing for 8 weeks and it's gonna suck...... I wish this never happened

There is no treatment for broken ribs other than strapping and rest. There really isn't much more the hospital could have done. It is painful sure, but plenty of people crack ribs and don't use pain killers. Having a tolerance or low pain threshold is hardly a reason to sue. After all you coped fine for 9 days before you eventually went to the hospital and you had no other symptoms of internal organ damage
 
How do u know I had fluid in my lungs and my hemoglobin level was an 8 an I delt w it by ice packs strapped to my stomach 24/7...... And it only got worse everyday and I finally went to the doctor when I could hardly breathe.

I'm taking steroids so I can breate too is that a crime of abuse also?

Dude, why are you getting mad for? You came on here asking if you should sue & then you said & I quote, "man I'm lucky I broke my ribs"......how do you want others to react to that?

It seems like you were doing cartwheels when you found out that you only paid $2 for a script of oxy & you also got several refills which is pretty nice.

Its always nice when you can get your meds for a very low price.

Also, your thread title is kind of awkward as well.......why didn't you go to the hospital right away after the major car accident?
