Im having my wisdom teeth taken out soon with the whole sedation treatment, but i do have a few concerns. ive read about all the drug they give during and after treatment, and i have a good tolerance to opiates, and benzos unfortunatly, i could probably down 10mg of xanax before sleeping, and takes at least 80mg(orally) of the oxy to get me feeling good, not even nodding out...is this something i should bring up with the oral surgeon? Im figuring hes going to label me as an addict and give me nothing for the pain, and i cant think of the technical term but i dont want to be half awake and not be able to tell the dentist im feeling all of it because of my tolerance to benzo's. Only thing i could probably tell him is that i just had a 2 slipped discs where they gave me 3 perc tens a day, but that was about a 2 months ago. any suggestions?

Hey samuelsmuth17777, welcome to Bluelight!

Due to your tolerance level (I remember being given a 10mg diazepam 20 minutes before the procedure to kick start the other drugs and make me relaxed) you may want to tell the oral surgeon you have a tolerance to benzos and opiates.

There's no way to be sure what your doctor is going to say, but because you had a legit reason for an opiate tolerance, he should be understanding.

Honesty will hopefully be the best course, and fentanyl is a good pain killer. My buddy abused the hell outta oxy 80's and come dentist time good healthy dose of fentanyl had him drooling.
