Day 1 - 5-MeO-DPT

It was my last week in Tokyo and on a whim (by choice), I decided to stay homeless for a week and see what escapades it would lead me to. I know what you guys are thinking-it's damn foolish, and only asking for trouble-and it is. But as much as it might not make sense to normal human beings, that's the sort of adventure I live for. The thrill of not knowing where you are going to head next, the suspense of being forced to party non-stop due to lack of sources, the excitement of meeting all sorts of natives and international people (some from countries I've never even heard of).

My first day back in Tokyo, I was so excited to see Taka, I took the first train to Roppongi immediately after dropping some luggage off at my father's house in Chiba. I sent Taka a text message the previous night letting him know I was coming so that he was ready. I had only gotten 4 hours of sleep the previous night, but it did not bother me in the least.

"Long time no see," he greeted, and we hugged.

"I really missed you!" I whined. "I couldn't party at all back in Kyoto... You have no idea how much energy I have stored just waiting to be used…I'm aching!"

"I figured as much, you're a pretty hyper type," He grinned and nodded, then inquired about my stay in Kyoto.

(Me and Taka, the nicest Japanese businessman I have ever met, hehehe)

We made small talk for a bit about what I did the past month. I chatted about how my 20th birthday was on the 13th and for the occasion I got a special reading done by a fortuneteller at a Kyoto temple (which by the way, was so surprisingly accurate that it was scary). I quickly added that I received 800 dollars to spend, and I joked that I was planning to make Taka a rich man with all the drugs I was going to buy.

"Speaking of which…" he grinned slyly. "I got a present for you!"

Much to my thrill, he pulled out a neatly packaged baggie from his pocket and handed it to me. The bag contained a vial of powder; the content: TMA-2.

"It's my last one," Taka chuckled. "I don't even sell it at this store, so I was planning on giving it to you when you come back."

I had heard nothing but good things about TMA-2, and it was one I had been dying to try. I must have thanked him around a million times before it really hit me just how lucky I was for attaining this relatively rare RC-and to top it off, it was his last one!

I inquired if he had any new drugs, and he said he re-stocked on 4-Ho-DiPT (it was sold out last time I visited), but that was it. Other than that, the usual was always the same: 5-MeO-DMT, 5-MeO-DPT, DPT, Methylone, Methylone-B, 2-CC, 2-CE, 2-C-T-7, 2-C-T-2, 14B, Rush (Inhalant), and Ephedrine. Apparently he used to sell 2-CB, 5-MeO-AMT, and AMT, but recently those were made illegal as well (along with DMT, mushrooms, and several others).

I had no knowledge on 5-MeO-DPT, as Erowid did not have an information page for this particular chemical. The fact that it was still so relatively unknown and barely studied is what really attracted my attention to this substance. From the little reports that I had read, it sounded like everything I wanted-mentally relaxing with calm, easy visuals and dissociation.

"I'll purchase this," I handed him the correct sum of yen for my "aromatherapy" and questioned if it was safe to combine with TMA-2.

He advised against it, reminding me that there was very little research conducted on these two drugs, and instructed, "The general rule is to never mix tryptamines and phenthylamines. It can lead to an increase of too much MAOI activity, so just avoid those mixes altogether. It's not worth the risk if it ends up being lethal."

I made a mental note to myself and squirted a little less than 10mg of the 5-MeO in my mouth right there on the street. As a bit of useful information, try to have some fresh juice or soda to wash it down with, because that liquid is quite possibly the worst tasting chemical I have ever ingested. And let me tell you, I have ingested DXM cough syrup, HBWR seeds, mescaline cactus, shards of meth, and mushrooms with barely any problem (hell, some of that stuff tasted pretty good to me)….But that "Gomeo-DPT" definitely takes the cake. (*gomeo = slang for 5-MeO)

While waiting for the compound to kick in, I sat patiently with Taka and observed my surroundings, soaking in the environment in preparation for what was about to come. From the side, I witnessed him deal to a wide variety of customers, ranging from local teenage club kids to older adult foreigners from all sorts of countries-Brazil, Australia, Switzerland, Korea, and much more.

Among the early customers were two young Japanese man in their early 20's approached us shortly after, asking us if we knew where any illegal drugs-mainly X and meth-could be found. One was rather tall and sickly skinny (I am attributing it to excessive drug use), and the other was of average height with a thick, brawny body and wore revealing, sporty clothing. Taka apologized sincerely, but he did not deal with any illicit substances, and today was no exception.

"So then, what are these… Legal drugs?" The lean guy smirked, mocking the substances in front of him. "These are fucking weak, I bet… That's why I stick to illegal. You know…REAL drugs."

"Yeah, a lot of people who only use illegal underestimate the power of these drugs," Taka chuckled, knowing they were just typical ignorant druggos. "Then they try some of these and they are amazed. In fact, some are even scared off them forever."

The two were still in disbelief, so I agreed with Taka. "He is right. Meth, X, those drugs are nothing compared to the intensity of some of these hallucinogens."

They doubted my authority on this subject, being so young of age, and interrogated me. "What would you know?"

I didn't want to go out of my way to tell a long and boring story about my past, due to the 5-MeO-DPT threshold making it exhausting to talk on. So I made my tale as short and sweet as possible. "Well… I've done drugs for several years since age 14 and just quit meth recently for a second time. I have pretty much done every major, famous illegal drug that you would know of, aside from PCP, opium, and DMT. If you can trust anybody's judgment on what is potent, it's mine. Seriously, research chems are some of the strongest shit I have ever done, don't treat these like any party drug or you will be sorry." I shot him a stern look to let him know I was serious.

That got the skinny guy to start second guessing himself, while the muscular one started making conversation with me. "My friend right here, started shooting speed at age 10."

"I can tell," I stopped myself abruptly, reminding myself of my manners before I could say anything insulting. "I mean, your friend should go to west coast America if he really likes shabu (meth). It's real cheap there. $100-130 3.5 gram balls, hell I myself used to be able to get an ounce for $500."

Both their jaws dropped in synchronized time in utter disbelief. "Are you fucking kidding me?!!?!?!?!"

"Even on the expensive side, it's about a little over $1,000 for an ounce," I laughed nervously, trying to undermine my embarrassment about admitting something as personal as my past addiction. "That's why meth was my favorite, haha… I never dealt too, I kept it all for me… hahaha."

The buff guy enthusiastically thrust his index finger towards my chin and declared, "You! My new best friend!!! Hook me up when I visit America, pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase?"

I agreed, though I had no intention of keeping my promise. "Yeah sure, if you can hook me up pretty cheap here."

"I get it half the market price."

We exchanged numbers, and I added Takashi to my phone as a "last resort option" for an S (meth) source. They both walked away with no purchase.

"Those guys are stupid," Taka ridiculed them. "You shouldn't give out your number to those second class citizens next time."

"It's okay," I giggled, justifying that it was a new meth hook. "Besides, I give out my number to weirdo's all the time."

He had a good laugh out of that.

"You should have suggested them the 2-CE. Man, after a high dose of that, they would be so scared they wouldn't step foot here again!" I smiled mischievously at the thought of those two hard asses freaking out on a bad trip. "Hell, that's how I learned to respect psychoactives."

"Nah. It's better to not push drugs on those kinds of people," Taka thought deeply. "They are usually the types that underestimate the strength of these drugs, and end up overdosing on an insane amount, just as a dumb challenge to prove they are core druggies. They believe they can handle anything just because they do hard drugs… They couldn't be more wrong. There is no way the human body can win."

"I concur. All drugs start out illegal before becoming illegal anyway," I bobbed my head and glanced down at the ground sadly. "And soon, these drugs will be too…"

Taka became particularly talkative during the night (or maybe he only appeared that way to me), discussing the latest news with work, business, and any recent, interesting customers. I did my best to listen and participate in the conversation, but when the 5-MeO-DPT kicked in around half an hour later, it was difficult to concentrate on discussion. I kept getting frequently lost amidst the dialogue, and having to ask Taka to repeat his sentences.

One factor that was affecting my inability to pay attention was how my once-relaxed muscles developed into these uncomfortably tense sets of meat. My flesh became unbearably cramped, and I often had to switch from standing to sitting positions to prevent any pain. I stretched my limbs out to relieve some strain, but I don't think even reclining in a bed would have alleviated the muscle aches. Additionally, I noticed a weak nausea, but it was gentle and passed fairly quickly.

It is a shame that such a body load accompanied the 5-MeO-DPT, because this was the only let-down I was disappointed by. As far as sensation went, it was everything I was seeking. Very…VERY…relaxing, with a bit of dissociation thrown in the mix. Dreamy visuals soothed my mind, giving off the perception that I was examining Tokyo through a snow-globe. The easy visuals included changes in patterning, quite reminiscent to DXM and ketamine. Time also seemed to go as slowly as it does on a good robotrip; I glanced at my watch believing it was almost morning, only to discover it was still midnight.

I was in awe at how brilliantly the city illuminations were glistening around me. It appears that on 5-MeO-DPT, I appreciate imagery from a reflection such as a mirror or glass surface, rather than staring at the actual image itself.

(A picture I took on 5-MeO-DPT. Funny thing is, this is exactly how the city looked to me then.)

Unlike other dissociatives however, I felt myself become strangely aroused simply standing there at the smartshop. I could practically feel the blood pulsating through myself, and couldn't help but consider trying 5-MeO-DPT as a love drug. I was a little surprised at how mild effects were, since the trip reports I read suggested that anything above 10mg would be a toxic dose. I felt I could go a little higher, but decided against it, knowing I had a busy week ahead of me, and I wouldn't be able to stand upright anymore if it increased my muscle cramping. I described my reactions to Taka, and he seemed interested. Apparently people are generally more energetic on the influence of this, but it seemed to have a sedating effect on me.

Luckily I had several people to converse with to take my mind off the throbbing in my back and shoulders. As luck would have it, I ended up meeting the most interesting people the first night I came back to Roppongi. It is really interesting studying the different kinds of people that buy from the store, each for their own individual reasons.

The first was a well-groomed man in a dark suit. He nodded in my direction as indication of politeness, and grumbled. "I hate my job, today sucked so much ass…At least I'm on break now. Hey, what do you suggest to make the time pass by?" He pointed to the 5-MeO-DMT. "What about this one?"

Taka shook his head in an uncertain manner. "I don't think you will be able to function on the Gomeo-DMT, it's very powerful and spiritual, users will become unresponsive for a majority of the trip… However, I just re-stocked in 4-Ho-DiPT, if you take a low dose of this one you will still be able to function. Or you could try the 5-MeO-DPT…" he paused and pointed to me. "She is on it right now. She claims an enhancement in sexual activity and mood."

Taka explained the difference between both products thoroughly while I continued gazing at the twinkling city lights. Meanwhile, my 5-MeO-DPT lasted a total of 3-4 hours and the effects were almost gone. The comedown was so easy, I did not even notice that I was actually sober. The man opted for the 4-Ho-DiPT, made a speedy exchange, and power-walked back to his work.

"He works as a host for a ladies' club," Taka revealed. "He always takes RC's on the job, hahaha, poor thing… Good guy, though. Real good guy… He's not able to advance further in the entertainment industry just cause he isn't the type to lie or play cheating games… He hangs out with a good crowd too. I'll introduce you to him someday."

"What do you do as a club host?" I was not familiar with this field of work.

Taka shed some light on me. "Well you know, it's when ladies get together for a night and pay gentlemen to entertain them."

"Is it like an underground prostitution service?"

"Not really," Taka shrugged. "I mean, they can do that, if desired. But that is done privately, outside of the business."

The subject was changed when I started getting curious about what he was planning to do if his best selling products were to be made illegal.

"I was hoping you could help me, since you seem to know a lot," he complimented. "But I have heard rumors that methylone will be made illegal soon. It's just having too much of a breakout, it is more popular than ecstasy or meth at this point. I am in a pinch right now, since almost all my sales are methylone."

I offered to help him research and translate through certain websites I knew about, if he could point me in the direction of a cheap internet café. We agreed to head to Shinjuku together and do a bit of research when our work ended at 5AM.

Conclusion: Japan has some fairly interesting people. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Too bad about the side-effects. I am very interested in 5-MeO-DPT, but I read of side-effects in nearly half of the reports and this has kept me away so far.

great report!

i love reports that read like a story, and your is very well written.

i'm so jealous, i've always wanted to goto japan, and i've also wanted to try some research chems.. unfortunately neither of these things seem to be in my near future....

look foward to reading the rest!

and btw, u are very pretty :]

lol sorry but that is simply not true although using words like this generally makes one look intelligent. ;]
