home brewed Yage?

I seen loads of places selling vine & the leaves (i cant remember the latin names for the parts)

I am very eager to place a order as i allways wanted to try yage for years, i was going to go on a trip to peru last year & go to the amazon to do it there but it was a once a year trip & i missed the date by 2 months & could not be arsed to wait 10 months to apply.

Has anyone ever done a home made yage brew before?.......

if so how did it go for you, can the vine/leaves go out of date (i.e. they go off & the chemical's break down after time) i read in several books about Brujo's in the amazon adding things like datura etc would this affect the use of the MAO's that make the brew oral active?

any info in relation to this topic would be gladly recived.

I forgot the mosi important part, Several years ago i did some acid with MAO pills, back then i had never heard of MAO's but on later reading on the net i heard they are very serious things to be messing with i also read there are certian diet rules you have to stick to when using them, any info in relation to there use would be great. I would have had a look on google but i dont think there will be that much if anything in relation to using MAO chemicals in realtion to getting high or any negative effects they may cause.

i've once cooked up a batch of ayahuasca from mimosa hostilis and banisteriopsis caapi (i cant remember the trivial names i think caapi is also 'yage'?)

ANYWAY, i don't know if the plants can spoil. the chemicals themselves must be rather robust, so if the plants are dried nicely, they should be fine. i don't think this will be an issue

i made my brew by boiling a pan of water, adding the powdered mimosa and the crushed, somewhat coarse b. caapi vine, and the juice from half a lemon to extract the chemicals. simmered this for 6 hours, occasionally stirring, adding water when needed (don't boil to dryness!). strained this, eventually i was left with about 500 - 750 mL of a dark, strong but not so nasty tasting liquid

as for the effects... i wasn't sure on the amount of plant precursors i used so i titrated up slowly, i found the effects to profoundly unpleasant once i reached active territory. there was little in the way of visuals, i was very anxious, nervous and nauseous. the only way to relieve my tension was to lie down in a darkened room, where i would experience my limbs turning into parts of animal bodies. my hand became a crabs claw, my legs those of a big cat. i did hallucinate some plants climbing up against the walls, over the ceiling, closing me in.

it was very scary at that time (4 years ago, i was looking for a 'fun' experience, i was very stupid back then), i threw out the mixture. never tried it again.

thanks for your view on yage as i know it can be very powerfull as its dmt at the end of the day. What does lemon juice do?.......i know you can use lemon juice to break down heroin for I.V. use, does the citric content help break down the chemicals from the parts of the plant.

I would have raided the erowid vault but the only pc use i have filter's out erowid for some reason but lets other sites through (bluelight among 1 of them) so the wb sites i have access to are limited so thats why i have to ask things erowid could answer but as its blocked im kinda screwed lol.

oh i am sorry. this was highly ambiguous, the body morphing was purely a physical feeling. i could, lying down with eyes closed, feel my fingers merging into for example a hard shell-like appendage. as for mushroom/lsd like CEVs, there was very little. some dull black/white fractalesque blobs, hence i said it was not very visual in the dose i tried. the vines were weird, that was a very vivid OEV of a vine-like shape pushing out of the wall, materializing in the room. scared me a lot, closed my eyes when i felt like i was being surrounded, then it left. other than that, very little typical tryptamine OEVs/CEVs. i attribute this to the relatively low dose i tried.

to avoid the block you could try 'hidemyass.com' as a proxy, or a similar proxy service.

i added lemon because i think something acidic in the water is needed to make sure the relevant chemicals are water soluble, as their solubility depends on the acidity of the water. these alkaloids are all soluble in acidic environments. (i'm not sure if it is really needed by the way)

I've never fancied caapi and mimosa. I imagine the taste is putrid and will cause incredible nausea. Just caapi alone makes you puke up pigs in a blanket like a sick fucking dog.

Best way of experiencing yage is moclobemide and extracted DMT freebase in cola (it forms the DMT phosphate salt which causes less nausea).

Even better than moclobemide and DMT freebase is moclobemide and mushrooms - this gives a far longer and more psychedelic DMT trip with zero nausea. Shroomahuasca beats ayahuasca hands down for me.

thanks for the reply, it cleared up what i was unsure of. Also thanks for the proxy thing i had never heard of that before but it seems to work thank god.

As to your aphex twin comment i agree 100% the guys a total don imo, i much prefer his fast break tracks than his slower tunes, the Come to daddy EP imo is his best work "Owww you have so many machines richard"
Have you ever heard enduser btw?......his stuff aint as "heavy" as aphex but i rate him a very close 2nd in the edited breaks/breakcore music style, for me his best work to date is the bollywood breaks EP which uses loads of indian music over amen's the best tune is a track called distant drums

Never tried it with Yopo seeds, I always thought they were more 5meo-DMT but I could be wrong. Mimosa is the one to go for if you're extracting DMT. Very simple to do the "straight to base" extraction.
