Holiday in Cambodia

The hep one's the only one worth getting. 3 stage injections staggered over a month, I think.

Get the first two there and the booster here?

Mine were five years ago and I did them at a private clinic in London. Cost a bomb.
 
Ok so I'll be in pp either tomorrow or the day after. Does anyone know what the border is like for dogs etc?
 
Cool, I'm in the middle of a northern province fixing heavy machinery. I will probably be in Phnom Penh around Jan 6th.

But you should look around st 172 for good places to eat and drink and get acquainted with the place. There's a small bar near the river end with a bull motif on the sign that I love, and Sundance Inn is a good spot on the same street.

You still staying for a month?
 
Cool man, I should still be in pp then, leaving for Thailand soon after. Have you got a number I can get you on in the meantime?
 
I'm going to PP in a month and would love to get some info on cool places to hang out, and possibly meet up with some fellow blue lighters, as I speak no Khmer and will be traveling alone

Love Phnom Penh. If I didn't have a little kid I would definitely live there.

The last time I was there was in 2010 so I'm not sure what's around these days. I do remember hanging around Riverside and the French Quarter a lot though. I also remember doing dancing and aerobics during the night by the riverside. The locals thought I was crazy.
 
I too love Phnom Penh. Best pharmacies in the world. They say 1 in 3 is a rip off but I used two and they were both totally brilliant.

I can't remember the name of where the backpacker hostel quarter is, it might be Sisowath Quay looking at google but it might not be either. Regardless, you will get off a bus in PP and be ambushed by tuk-tuk drivers all willing to drive you straight there, it's the first place they will take you if you look young and backpackerish. As far as I remember it's a right out of the bus station, onto the main road and then a left. It's about 1km, certainly not far. The hostels are by the lake that was being drained when I was last there so it's probably gone now. Best value weed in SE Asia. Other drugs are available.

You don't need to speak Khmer. English is well catered for. Cambodian street kids are the most street smart in the world. Just one more dollar should be Cambodia's motto.
 
I was there a few weeks ago, stayed around the riverside area (rue 73 i think?) plenty of 'happy pizza' establishments. 30p for a beer at happy hour as well.

Recommend Otres beach if you want to get out of PP for a few days, nice place about 5km outside of Sihanoukville.

ooooo I'll prob just miss ya!. I'll be there from the 9th to the 12th of July. I'd love to have a beer with some fellow bluelighters too!
 
can any one recommend a decent place to stay? any hotels/hostels that are fairly 'drug' friendly to some degree? any info would be great! cheers!
 
Just ask to be taken to the backpacker area which is where they'll take you anyway.

It's all drug friendly. Tuk-tuk drivers will sell you fine deals of weed without you having to ask. You won't even have to leave the hotel. They park up outside, they are always there.

And get air-con in your room. You'll die without it and for an extra $5 a night it has to be worth living. PP is one of the hottest places I've ever been.

Glad this thread is alive. Hitting Cambodia this December!

No plans as yet. Only got 3 weeks, was hoping to do Laos and some islands too..........but thinking about doing 7/8 days in Cambodia then some Thai islands......save Laos for another time. SHM / Ponchkeep the advice flowing
