In my silent room
alone without the darkness
chills parallel up my arms
and the world stands still
fighting the fears of nothing
in summers frigid air
pleading for a pardon
from whom it may concern
lying in the gateway
to a place far below
where we learn our sadness well
and kiss our dreams hello
baring souls in words
from the place it matters most
killing yourself is far to slow
words cannot capture words
at least not fast enough
for my contempt is far to great
and my sadness burns
the holes in heaven that we fell out of
escaping mothers womb
into the hell we call life
where sorrow
is all we know

Let me be the first to say how brilliant this is, each line is so unexpected - so cleverly put together.

to a place far below
where we learn our sadness well
and kiss our dreams hello

Take a bow, you've earned it!
