Sorry for the slight misread - if someone in there 30s were dying of COPD from marijuana I would be interested to know.
What attitude? I thought it was pretty kind to say since you cared to share that info may I ask --- where was the attitude? Again sorry I read it as you were close to death from copd, not you knew someone who was.
I think most of us over 30 have known a few ppl with COPD -- my pops outlived his diagnosis by like 8 yrs and it was still only a contributing factor. Spose I knew someone close to dying from COPD as well -- I will not hesitate to share the cause was over 2 packs of cigarettes a day between 14 and 60 however ---- which makes the whole anecdote off topic, yes? Was yours off topic as well? (More polite way to ask?)
He said what he thought he said --- I misread slightly and my question reflects it; again apologies for that.
Sorry @Ddeeee that you almost lost anyone close to you for any reason; believe me no disrespect was intended! Much the opposite I got alot of empathy -- friend just lost a mother from COPD couple months ago
Most certainly was not trying 'Gaslight' anyone -- what I wold consider gaslighting is suggesting that you gunna die young of holding in pot smoke too long based on a cigarette smoker COPD story.
jeez, everything's an argument with you, isn't it?
it's funny how everyone thinks gaslighting can only be the prime example they hold in their mind.
From Sir Google, of the world wide web:
Gaslighting is a form of persistent psychological manipulation and emotional abuse designed to make a victim doubt their own memory, perception, reality, or sanity. It is used to gain power and control by causing the victim to depend on the perpetrator, often employing denial, lying, and trivialization.
So yes, your example falls under the umbrella of gaslighting but it isn't the umbrella. I was just kind of joking around about it but you're definitely half-guilty, whether intentionally or through sloppy reading comprehension. Just don't be persistent about it and you've got plausible deniability, I guess? I think?
maybe
