Hey guys,

I have been "stalking" the forum for 5 years. SWIM had a heroin habit for 10 years; then SWIM injected suboxone without any troubles. Recently, SWIM injected lorazepam, temazepam pills, and insufflated clonazepam with little adverse effects. Of course, SWIM didn't get any rush, but the by-passing the liver can be felt.

I am a harm reductionest, but I will not criticize any personal choice to do whatever you want. If anyone wants to PM, please feel free.

Take care guys,

Dp

From dartanian, also ...

SWIM has a degree in english and philosophy from Tulane University. SWIM would be happy to have some philosophical discussions if anyone is interested.

No one will be able to PM you until you reach BL status at 50 posts.
You can PM staff members though, so don't be afraid to ask any questions.

A word of advice, none of us use SWIM here on BL. To prevent yourself from being flamed & no one taking your post seriously, you should refrain in using that term now. ;)

Hey, no swimming allowed! Heh. We don't use swim here, it won't protect you anyway :)

Welcome though!

I've merged your two threads by the way, you only need one introduction thread :)

Word

I won't post another introduction.

As for presocratics, I studied very little ... but I remember Empedocles and Democritus making a stir around that time, and there thoughts were not bad. I did like Pythagoras simply from a quantitative perspective. I studied more continental philosophy (Heidegger, Arendt, Derrida, Foucault).

Heidegger wins. I often read Heidegger while picking up, which I guess makes me an odd bird, but his opinions on art give me chills that are only rivaled by opiate rushes. Empedocles is interesting, there is actually one theory that he and Parmenides deliberately formulated philosophies that would drive folks mad who tried to comprehend them.
