I was talking to a medical marijuana grower and he said technically it is considered a weed, since it is highly competitive for nutrient kind of like bullnettle and other varieties of weeds. How does it feed? is it considered a weed?

However I also asked HOW it is considered a weed. How does it feed? Does it feed like common weeds? Etc.

I believe the definition of 'weed' is a wild plant growing where it is not wanted and in competition with cultivated plants. So, to answer your question, marijuana could be considered a weed, any plant can. I'm willing to bet that its rare that there is 'unwanted wild' marijuana growing somewhere among cultivated plants.
