Ok really new at this. Cool site.:) Like the frankness, and (thank god) the friendly, supportive nature of it. Dunno 'bout elsewhere, but here in America there can be a lot of nastiness and name-calling on discussion forums, I have no idea why.

I'm a 'middleager' now, and kept drugs at arms length my whole life. Also, food was my 'drug' of choice, so. I'm glad I didn't do much drugs or alcohol, cuz I woulda got into a whole heap of trouble, much of it no doubt sexual (I have a strong libido). I have no doubt. I have low impulse-control, too.

I did acid once (at a rave, awesome) but otherwise, only coke. In the '80's as a youngster, but didn't like the paranoid after-effect. Never thought I'd do it again but my boyfriend and I partake about once a month, having out own little party in the pad. All night long. Drinking is a big part of it, too.
Which has been amazing, but I hate sleeping the next two days, and I've gotten infections the last two times, so don't think it's worth it. Ready to stop.

I did happen to notice that a drug discussion posted on here in 2003 was way more positive especially about meth whereas a recent one I read people are like "I'm ready to stop, this has been a bad thing ultimately" even with coke (!) and no doubt meth has been thoroughly demonized, and for good reason, since 2003.

Nonetheless, drugs fascinate me, along with other 'dark' aspects of life (not that drugs are necessarily 'dark', but they are illegal and often illicit), like crime, murder, mafia etc. (Is this a phase? Dunno. Not exploring that stuff in real life, just via documentaries, movies, personal stories of others, etc.) Also sex. Of course. (Which is by and large a healthy good thing altho I suck at using condoms and always have.)

So here I am, thanks.

hello and welcome.

i absolute get where you're coming from, i share a same fascination with all things considered negative and unhealthy. personally i don't think drugs should be something to demonize or glorify, they're excellent for their intended purposes and used responsibly and sparingly can infinitely enrich a persons life, or destroy it completely. anyway, welcome aboard.

Great intro sunnyday2011 and welcome to the light!

Welcome, I'm also a new member.
I agree with what you said here; I'm surprised that a forum made up of what society would consider 'junkies' is so supportive, intelligent, and courteous.
