Chair.
Hit me as hard as you can.
How deep can the blade cut into the skin
until the pressure defeats the force
that drives itself?

Let no thought wander into the haze.
Fixate on the goal, a ruthless and steady course.
Aquire a bit of that narrow tunnel vision, for
its no time for this head to weave through clouds.

This stupid shit is killing me.
These cracked and leaking walls are
bleeding further and closing in and
there's nowhere left to breath.

Every reaction is extreme and
every thought cuts through my mind
like a machette through every pipe dream and
every emotion is filled with this unbearable intensity.

I have no place of my own that reflects me
without also reflecting some collective entity.
I have no space to delcare my own that
isn't overlapped by someone else's home.

And I know its got to give, you know I
know this has got to fucking change, but
the path towards, the steps to a different way
and state of consciousness, they're so
blurred by the dark and rain and my compass
spins in the Bermuda Triangle of my
bitter and confused existence.

The body dissociates
from the spark of life within.
Do me a favor and hit me
as hard as you can because I
thirst for a reason to fight

because I'm such a bloody hypocrite
maybe somewhere in the blood, sweat,
bruises and broken bones elements will mingle
and I'll find some new way to trancendence

fuck no, I'm not kidding
hit me with all you've got,
its no time for this head to
weave in and out of clouds.

Its time for blood on the ground.

I try to indicate that something is to be taken metaphorically as opposed to literally by using two metaphors to express the same underlying thought. You know how Buddhists talk about `pointing at the moon'? I try to point at it from different directions in a peice sometimes, to show that what I really mean isn't, for instance, being punched by someone or digging a blade into your own skin, but rather that both things are symbols for something deeper.
