Hiking across US border from canada

I want to go on a backpacking trip this summer. I want to hike across the US border from canada via the pacific crest trail. But the thing is I wanna know if the trail is guarded, is there border patrol to search you? Because Im about to have a few lbs in my backpack as well as the common camping supplies. Im sure this has been thought about before and Im wondering if its possible to not be searched, Im 19 its all good US Citizen.
