Hi everyone I am looking for the mushroom with the highest dry weight baeocystin (3-2-(methylamino)ethyl-1H-indol-4-ol dihydrogen phosphate ester) containing mushroom species. I am looking for either the mushroom that has the highest ratio vs psilocin and psilocybin or highest percent of baeocystin in dry weight per gram.
I have found reports that Conocybe cyanopus and Psilocybe baeocystis (named that because baeocystin was first discovered in this species, not because it has the highest percent) have baeocystin content up to 1 percent dry weight (depending on culture) and that Psilocybe semilanceata has up to 3.4 percent baeo (it is currently my candidate for what I am looking for). I have also found that Psilocybe azurescens and cyanescens have very high percent by dry weight but are also the two most potent psilocybin mushrooms so the baeo would be overshadowed by the other alkaloids. Similarly Inocybe aeruginascens has a high baeocystin content (relative to psilocin/psilocybin) but also has aeruginascine which could also overshadow the baeo experience. The reason I am interested is baeocystin is little researched and is different enough structurally to have separate effects from psilocybin. Also the only two fatalities (that were not environmental) from mushrooms came from cyanescens and baeocystis which leads me to believe it is very different pharmacologically as psilocybin containing mushrooms are revered for their safety profile (other than environmental/psychological issues present with all hallucinogens)
I am interested in a primarily baeocystin mushroom trip for personal reasons and to post here and on Erowid (once I figure out which species I am going to use)
If anyone has insight or experience or can list species with high baeocystin content that would be very helpful
also feel free to link me with an existing thread or move to ADD or another forum
thank you,
Cwest
