Highest amounts of hydrocodone

Hey,

SWIM has been doing a lot of cold water extractions from his lower strength 5/500 vicodin that he doesn't use anymore. SWIM has extracted approximately 25mg of hydrocodone and drank the water. (SWIM doesn't actually know how much is extracted, but it was 5 pills) SWIM feels the opiate high and it's nice.

To get an idea of SWIM's tolerance, he takes 10mg of dilaudid (hydromorphone) and sometimes more mixed with around 3 percocet (oxycodone) 10/325, and 1-2 mg of opana (oxymorphone) all at once.

So the real question is how much hydrocodone is safe to take by itself without combining other stuff? hydrocodone over dose limit?

Or what's the highest dose of hydrocodone you've known to be taken without anything going bad?

SWIM is asking because he would like to take more, not because he thinks 25mg was too much.

your lucky because 25mg is a considerably small dose because you have little to no tolerance

you wont even have to start worrying about any dangers of high doses or anything like that until your tolerance raises an your taking it in the hundreds of mg's (which hopefully never happens :\ )

especially if your not mixing it with anything
 
the question is .... not answerable? Obviously no one else's tolerance has anything at all to do with how much you should take. Just up your dose a little if you are 'fine' with 25mg.

interesting that 25 mg hydrocodone works for you, while it takes 10mg dilaudid for you to feel that (?). Is that correct?

-anyway, nothing bad will/should happen if you take another hydrocodone or two.
 
I am not suggesting *not* to do your CWE, however just letting you know that 5 of those vicoden don't go above the daily allowance of 4000mgs of acetaminophen, so the CWE isn't *necessary*. I would recommend it if you do this every day, but its not a necessity basically until you're doing 8 pills daily.

Also, why combine so many different opiates/opioids? Why not just use 1 type? Or is it because you enjoy the "high" produced by mixing them all?

Either way, mixing all these different drugs makes it more difficult to predict what dose of each you should take. Regardless however, there is no way for us to tell you how much of each drug you should take; as there is no way for us to know what your tolerance is. Knowing your own limits is something you have to learn to predict for yourself over time.
 
ahhh. Perhaps he/she (didn't notice) IS eating the dilaudid. Interesting- I didn't even THINK of that. haha, fairly hilarious. Anyway - I have nothing else to contribute at this point !
 
Oxycodone is approximately 1.5 times the strength of hydrocodone. Concerning how much is too much, since you are removing the APAP, the limit will be how much you can handle. If you take 15mg oxycodone, ~25mg hydrocodone sounds like a perfect amount. You can go a bit higher surely and enjoy the effects, but how much higher is anybody's guess...

Also, in response to the questions in bold...

1. Theres no hard and fast dosage that will cause an overdose for hydrocodone or any other opiate. It all depends on your tolerance. For someone with no tolerance, I'd imagine 40 mg hydrocodone to be around the point that you'd throw up, but it probably wouldn't be fatal. Of course, I've seen people with no tolerance puke off of 10 mg, too, so it depends on the person.

2. This is kind of the same question, and again, there's no hard and fast rule. I should point out that there's no ceiling to opiate tolerance, so people with a large tolerance are capable of ingesting hundreds of milligrams of hydrocodone at a time (ideally after a CWE, of course), but that doesn't mean that you'll be able to.

OP, since you didn't reply last night, I'm guessing you ended up doing some more hydrocodone and then went to bed. What dose did you take and how did it work out for you?
 
I don't want to tell you how much hydro i have ever taken at once. It would kill you. What I have taken is totally irrelevant to what you can take.
