High tolerance (naturally) to specific opiates/opiods

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but here we go.

I seem to have a strange natural tolerance to specific opiates. For instance, I will orally take 10mg of oxycodone or hydrocodone and be on cloud 9. On the other hand, I have to orally take ~10mg of hydromorphone (orally) to get a good buzz. 30 MG ms contin doesn't even get me any pain relief/buzz, rather it gives him intense nausea and he feels like shit. I decided to try plugging today (I don't like needles, wont touch them) with 4mg of hydromorphone, and it got him the same buzz 15mg of oxy would. Note, I only consume these drugs RARELY, and have absolutely no tolerance caused by opiates themselves.

Is it natural for me to have such high tolerance to specific opiates?

lucky for you, this is not a tolerance issue... it's a BA issue!

dilaudid is practically useless orally, try snorting or plugging. (snorting 50-58%, plugging 60-80% --rough numbers)

This is what I figured in the beginning, but when I read that most people only take 2 or 4mg of dilaudid orally for someone with no tolerance and I need at least 10mg, I figured there was something strange. I plugged my last 4mg of dilaudid several days ago, and it was okay. I tried my last few ms contins today too, and it took about 50mg plugged to get going.

As far as snorting goes, I have only tried to snort hydromorphone. Each time I did it, it took about 6-10mg for me to feel it, but that is a lot of powder up the nose for me, and it would leave a really unpleasant chemical drip and smell in my nose.

It seems like you do have a strange natural tolerance to certain opiates. When i first started I needed at least 15mg of oxy to get high, 20mg for an intense nod; but whenever I did hydromorphone it would only take me about 3-4mg nasally to get to the same level as 15-20mg of oxy. Ms contins and oxycodone are the same thing if im not mistaken. They both have the same active chemical but I guess one of them has a different formula? Maybe one is a time release pill and the other isnt? Not sure because its not my area of expertese. I would suggest you do some more research into the pills as well as the best route of administration. Iv never tried plugging dilaudid but like I said 3-4mgs nasally used to do the trick for me so it might be possible that you are doing something wrong. Next time you snort it make sure that it is ground into the finest powder possible, use saline spray and blow your nose before you snort it, and make sure that you place your dollar bill at the entrance of your nostril rather than deep in your nostril. Snort slowly so that it is all absorbed nasally instead of flying through your nose and absorbing orally. If that doesnt work then you must have some weird natural tolerance!!! Good luck.
