high dose valium - lasting effects?

I had a bottle of 90 5mg diazepam pills. I think the pharmacy may have shorted me some, but I cannot prove that now, nor trust my own memory. Me and my boyfriend took five each to have a relaxing night, but from there it turned into a binge: we decided to see how many it would take to get drunk. The next mourning there were only 10 or so left in the bottle, so I made it my breakfast. From the time the valium began to three days later is a blur.

How damaging is this use of benzos? I prefer not to fuxor my brain. However, me and my boyfriend actually had a great time. Would it be exponentially bad to repeat this experience in another few months? Is there a benzo that might provide more euphoria? I wonder if klonopins could rival the experience?

My final question: how long should I wait until dropping acid? I know diazepam has a long half life, and I probably took a dose of 200 to 250 mg, maybe more. I don't want vally sitting in my system dampening my next trip!

I used to be RXed 90 10mg pills a month and would eat them all within the first 5 days or so, its not a good way to go, if you keep it up be ready for some horrible WD's. As far as the acid goes I'd say you'd be straight the day after you use the Valium, if you really worried wait 2 days, but I doubt it's needed.

Thanks for the quick reply. How many times did you do your ~5 day binge until your body became physically addicted enough you would withdrawal?

one time benzo use will not damage your brain. Xanax is the best benzo to abuse, klonopin isn't as good they take to long to kick it however they will give you a stable high for a couple of hours.

^Xanax may be the preferred benzo for some, but the WD's are much worse IME, as far as tolerance/dependency goes it's a real slippery slope, about 7-10 days of use and it can start to get hard to stop, and about 3-4 weeks of abuse it can hurt to stop, and about 3 months of use and it can kill you to stop.

...but I still love my Valium, Restoril, and Versed

Thanks for the responses, they are mostly reassuring. The fact that we both have 3 days with that are 80 % missing made me worry about some sort of brain deletion. If this is not that harmful to do very occasionally, I could see repeating the experience.

Interesting terminology Memory loss is exceedingly common with higher doses of benzos, and at the amounts you were eating, amnesia for the event is just inevitable. Despite the fact that these benzo blackouts can be really dangerous (seeing as you'll have no idea what you did or where you'd been for the experience), benzodiazepines are one of the safest drugs to take in high quantities. By themselves, they don't really present neurotoxicity in any reasonable (and most unreasonable) dosages.

As far as tolerance and withdrawal go, if you are scripted 90 tabs and manage to consume all of them within a few days, and don't take any more until your next refill, you won't have an accumulation of diazepam in your body anywhere near the amounts it takes to physically withdrawal. If, on the other hand, you happen to be taking these herculean doses very frequently (even a couple times a week) then you're bound for trouble. If this is so, I'd really, really tread lightly if I were you - I have been scripted all types of benzos for the past six years and can truly attest that benzo withdrawal is fucking god-awful (and potentially fatal...)

^Thanks, great info. I could not do this more than once a month, though me and my boy friend will probably not have time for such "trips" that often anyway.
As all my questions have been answered, I end with a reminder to all that trust is weakness, on benzos one can make mistakes.
