High dose codeine cold water extraction.

So i crushed 64 pills of 8mgcodeine/5mg paracetamol and did cold water extraction on it. What dosage loss would I typically get? Thats 512mg codeine from the pills but im assuming you lose allot.

My process:

1. Crush all pills
2. Put crushed pills in 250ml cold water left in freezer for 15 mins and mix for a minute.
3. Sieve with coffee filter then drink cloudy liquid left over
4. Throw away left over sediment.

Its been 20 minutes and I feel improved mood itchiness (especially in scalp), general weird feeling of head fullness(almost dizziness?).
When should I expect peak effects? How long does it last? Only used codeine once about 8 years ago and i feel i remember a decent length of effect and then an afterglow that lasted a while.

Buddy, you should not be "losing" a significant amount of product if you perform the process with care. I would reckon, just because this is kitchen chemistry, that a maximum of 10% could somehow become lost in the mass or binders/APAP or during the filtration system.

I always found the method superior to use a pipette/syringe to remove the water from the top of the container. I had the same thoughts that you are having right now as a matter of fact. I was withdrawing from a heavy Heroin habit and I was in a new country. I ended up taking ~1g of Codeine and that kind of got me well for 24 hours.

My recommendation is to use the method above. Follow the process just as it is written. When you remove the container, try not to agitate it at all. I would recommend using your syringe to remove the vast majority of your tincture. Once you are approaching the bottom mass, then I would go ahead and filter well, twice if you're me, then add that liquor to your total tincture.

I do not have any research to back this up, however I have experience and I feel common sense knowledge makes this 10% claim worthy even if not totally accurate.
