I've had my share of struggles but have been clean and sober for 6 years. My drug of choice was
"more". More of whatever the fuck you have. Actually I'm a adderall, coke, pain pill addict and thank God
I quit adding to that chapter in my life. My thoughts and prayers are for all of you still suffering...we share the shitty disease of addiction. My girlfriend is also an addict and she is about 7 days clean and sober. She is a totally different (better) person now and we can finally communicate on a new level. She's not bitter or trying to chase a high...she keeps it real. The difference is amazing and nothing short of a miracle. Her DUC was pain pills. God speed and hope as you read this post it can be seen that recovery is well worth the effort. No more having to chase a high, no more wondering where that next fix will come from...it's all good and may be difficult in the beginning - but oh so worth it 28 days later. The desire to use was totally removed.
