What if ? But at my age does it really matter [50+],
privacy is atm not more then a word on paper with a meaning.
But never pursued or obtained.

Why did we get Privacy Laws, because we lost our privacy,.
But as my highschool teachers repetively said.
The more laws a country has, says the state its in.

Discord Server, never heard about that. Saw its pretty hard work.
But Bluelight has one too ? I ll look for it.
Can you in laymen explain what it actually is ? In shortt.

No discord without some sort less intrusive verification, is being a Bluelighter not enough ?

You shouldn’t need a phone number.
If you tried making an account while on a VPN then Discord themselves probably got suspicious, and unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to workaround that beyond one of us making you an account ourselves.

If you know what IRC is, Discord is like a modern version of that but with video and voice calling options as well and tons of nice features to make it easier for the average person to use.
 
IRC is no mere then a term for some sort of communication form, bit like ICQ. For me.
Know what it is kinda for and they exist[ed], but knew no one personally that had a PC.
Was the first, and when they did it was for gaming. And IRC ? Internet Relay Chat.
Wow 2 lessons, before i woke.

Messaging, they did with their smartphones, remember like kids dick sizing their Smart phones.
Was btw the last to get a mobile, and certainly the last to get a smart one.
Haven t bought one once, all leftover give away s till to this day.

Same for the PC, whole live bought one new one. The rest thrift and gift. But it works.
Check if either Chromium, DuckDuckGo or UBUNTU/ LINUX is on a VPN setting.
By default maybe or by me unknowingly, great another school day with @arrall .

I need a VPN. :confused: against the constant breaking of Privacy Laws, by the whole bureaucratic system.

Use a SOCKS5 proxy if that's so... Fuck Discord anyway, its horse shit in terms of privacy and Telegram really isn't much better, but these are what BL insists on using for some reason that I really don't care to try and figure out. My guess is because most people aren't tech savvy enough to even understand why these platforms are risky to use let alone understand how to use ones that are not so risky. The whole, "let's go with what people already know rather than what's safe." I'm not getting into cyber security related stuff here, but basically the admins seem to have prioritized usability over safety/security of their user base.

IRC is far superior to Discord in terms of the whole privacy/security of users thing, but its not as flashy and easy to use for people as you said. So, if anyone gives a fuck about their privacy just keep what I have said in mind. Telegram would be the lesser of the two evils in terms of options BL offers for chat room services, but IRC is exponentially better than both.

I'm a 21 year H user (Not daily, though the past two years it has been.) and a 20 year methadone user (That basically has been daily.).
