Hi, my name is Dede and I'm new here on this site. I don't know if this is the correct place to be putting this up but here I go...I am manic depressive and Bipolar, I take Prozac and Abilify for this condition. With this medication I am doing great, no problems at all, have been on these for about 10 years now. But I have always had a problem sleeping at night, which I hate because I would like to sleep when everyone else is sleep at night instead of being up all night! I have been taking 2mg of Xanax along with Trazodone for a long time and it has worked fine, but for this last couple of months this has stopped working altogether and I haven't been sleeping. I went to my psy today and told him about my problem, he put me on a new medicine, at least new to me! He put me on 1 mg. of Clonazepam along with 15 mg. of Remeron, I haven't taken it yet but I have did some research on them on the internet. I had heard some really scary stories about the Clonazepam and I'm now afraid to try it. Can anyone tell me if the Clonazepam is any different from the Xanax and will the Clonazepam have any lasting effects into the next day? Is this Clonazepam a long lasting drug and will it help me sleep? Does anyone have any advice that can help me out, please!
