Hi everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I was a heroin addict for several years, then on methadone, and now I am totally clean for the first time in 15 years! I'm not looking to use drugs recreationally but I am interested in medicinal / shamanic herbs and ethnobotany. I got off the methadone with kratom. It worked fantastically well and getting off the kratom was easy. I had been on methadone for 12 years and had never heard of kratom but the day I tried it, I quit the methadone just like that and never looked back. :)

Welcome Anita! And congrats on kicking the addictions and staying clean ;-)

Hope you enjoy your time here

thats cool i use kratom occasionally and really like it. it does seem a good tool for coming off opiates.

Hello Anita, hello to everyone! This is my 1st post and just wanted to introduce myself. My drug of choice has been H for the past 10 years (smoking for first 2 and sniffing for the rest) and for 5 years before that, i was pretty much doing every other drug. I moved to Canada lately, looking for a fresh start. I'm also on as low as 2mg of Subutex now, and its great!! This is a really cool place to be, with a lot of details to learn. I have also studied Psychology and drugs and human behavior in University...My only A+ in the 4.5 years of education :)

I was a heroin addict too, but I have also been clean for a while.

Glad to hear you are clean too! It's a relief not needing to use heroin just to get through the day.

Welcome to Bluelight, and I hope you enjoy the site!

So well said, and simply to the point!
"It's a relief not needing to use H just to get through the day"

I remember well my last few days of using and i was doing a LOT, just to be normal!!!
after 15 years of substance use (and abuse) I'm now enjoying the mind clarity and the health that i miss so much.
Keep it up people, it's really not impossible at all, unless you want to think so, and quitting will be a real challenge
in that case. Also, we have to be the ones who decide to get clean, other than that, the monkey might be restlessly
jumping up and down your head like in a Donky Kong game
Love Life everyone :)
