I stumbled upon the forum whilst looking for the chemical path from valerian to valproic acid for a presentation.
Currently being titrated off the purple one after many many years and onto UCBs shiny new analog. No luck with the nootropic base, I'm still crap at maths.
Ex aquatics instructor/coach and tutor, turned psychology student when bitten on the bum by levetiracetam and when just after that dog put the icing on the cake by pulling my shoulder out (OK I shouldn't have held on to a gate when she chased a cat but...). Interesting intro to the world of pain NSAIDs and their interactions with anticonvulsants.
Biological Psychology and a placement in mental health got me interested in Pharmacology and...er that's me. Perpetual student.
Married, love animals and water sports. Er... many years experience of various anticonvulsants :D
If anyone does know the chemical progression from plant to active ingredient of the drug it would be appreciated. My 2nd year chemistry began and ended with the maths paper on the first day.8)
