Just signed up and figured a good place to start is introducing myself here.

I'm a male, mid 20's, happily married, no kids, and in a Ph.D program. And... I'm addicted to opiates. It started with pills, then I discovered poppy pods... and that was a long dark twisted road I should have better sense to go down. It was self medication. The drugs made me feel happy, gave me confidence, and get over the fear of writing my thesis. Gradually, that feeling went away and I was so deeply depressed that I knew I needed to quit. If any of you are recovering addicts, I'm sure you know the feeling.

I'm currently on subutex maintenance therapy. It's working well, but I'm having a big problem now finding a new doctor and I'm looking for someone who can help me with that. I'm posting it over at the "Dark Side" since I guess that's where stuff like this is supposed to go. If you live in or around the Philadelphia/South NJ area and you care to try and help me, please check out the thread. I'm not sure if cross-posting is allowed here, but if it is I'll edit in a link. Otherwise, I'll post as "Need help finding Suboxone in Philly."

Thanks for reading

Welcome :)

Sorry mate, we can't help you there in respects to finding a doctor. Have a read over the BLUA in my signature and you'll see all the do's and dont's.. The Dark Side is there for help emotionally. To give support and hope to those who can't seem to find it in themselves.. TDS is a wonderful forum filled with kind, caring people who want to help. Hell.. they helped me through some shit..

I hope you find what you're looking for.. I suggest checkin the Suboxone website as they have docs that can help you in your area.

Cheers :)

PS.. I suggest reading the Forum Guidelines in each forum before posting in there so you know whats expected of you when posting

Wow. More Philly area people.

I believe the Suboxone website has a find a doctor feature. If you really can't find one, which shouldn't be hard in the Philly area, you can always drop by your local methadone clinic. Most around here also provide Suboxone maintenance. (Pro tip: Avoid the clinics. They're a fucking mess.)

Welcome to BL.

Yeah it looks like Philly is blowing up all over Bluelight the last few weeks! Glad to have you as a new member. As you can see already Bluelighters know their stuff.

Welcome to Bluelight!! :)
