My name is Noa condensed version,
I like many others I've seem just joined after looking around. A Lil shy, I'm a 36 y/o male. I'v had a lifelong romance with opioids since I was young. Lupus kinda sealed the deal. Hydromorphone & oxycodone to be exact. Im currently trying to wean off Methadone and having some difficulty. The clinics become too costly but I'm trying. Man am i trying.
I've even been seeking help, professional but the community programs will not have me, I have 3 I've recently tried in my area, to no avail. It seems that asking for help is Sometimes harder than getting high. S. Fl is rough. I was in the med field and know a bit about clinical, organic, chemistry.
Hoping maybe someone, somewhere Has some info that i could use or maybe even the other way around.

Welcome to bL. I'd make your first stop Sober Living over in our Recovery Support section. Good on ya for doing battle with the addiction, and not just giving in. There you'll find many very caring and well informed people who are going through similar situations. Also have a look at Other Drugs for some more general info on maintenance medication, and getting off of it.
