Hello everyone,
Ive done a lot of google searches that usually bring me here, so I figured I would become a member to ask more specific questions.
I am not that tech savvy when it comes chemistry or some of the terms used on this site.
I suffer from chronic anxiety, panic attacks, and I suffer from reoccurring kidney stones that cause me a lot of pain.
I take cipralex and clonipin for my anxiety as prescribed by my doctor. It seems to work okay but not with sleep.
I have questions about my pain meds that are prescribed to me but I wont ask here as the rules said not to.
Currently I have some weird kidney infection the doctors cant figure out. They said it doesnt show infection but I have all the symptoms. Although a week ago when I went to first two hospitals I tested postive for infection. They said looks gone but I still have all the symptoms including the pain.
I also fractured a rib from all the vomitting which has finally stopped. But now have diarrhea which is better than vomitting nonstop.
Anyway, I usually get kidney stones 3 times a year. I have had over 50 kidney stones in 10 years. I had laser surgery a year ago to remove 5 obstructive stones, one which was a half inch diameter.
One of my problems is that over the years I have obviously developed a high tolerance for the pain meds but they wont ever give me higher dosages or more quantity. I try to explain to them but they dont get it or trust me.
Like literally the other day in the hospital I went through over 36mg of morphine IV in 12 hours but they always send me home with 5mg percocet qty 20. How is that supposed to help me if I am in that much pain when I need like 5 or 6 pills at one time.
Anyway, I live in Canada so healthcare is free but a lot of doctors here are strict with narcotic prescriptions. A lot of small private doctors have signs that say they wont prescribe them at all.
Whenever they try to prescribe me toradol or something thats not at least percocet I refuse to leave unless they give it to me because I have real pain issues and I know if its not opiate based like percocet its just useless placebo.
I hope this introduction is okay.
Thanks.
