Hi, all.

I've been using Bluelight for research for some time now and finally feel comfortable enough to join. I am a 53 year-old disabled man in the UK, In my younger days I was a soldier in the British Army and later a long-distance truck driver driving throughout the EU. Sadly I overturned a 38 wheeler and used a railway bridge to stop my overturned truck 8o I fractured my skull and have not been able to work since due to epilepsy.

8 years later I spent 5 weeks on life-support following a house fire :!

Having survived all that I am taking loads of prescribed meds and guess what? Some of them just do not cut the mustard so here I am. I'm not into drugs for recreation (neither do I condemn those of you that do) but sleep is my greatest friend, it makes me forget my pain and the constant attempts to remember the fire (of which I have no recollection whatsoever).

You guys in the forum help me to decide which Benzos/derivatives are worth trying and which to avoid and I salute you!

Finally guys: Zap's motto is: Never mourn the part/s of yourself that you have lost, CELEBRATE the parts that remain and use them fully=D

ello ello, gees zaps youve got more lives than a cat..welcome to bl mate, theres alot of people on here that suffer from ongoing pain as a result of accidents..

Good to have a pom on here or two..im from the island you sent the worst of your criminals two jundred years ago....but i was born in Hungary..perhaps you passed through in your lorry days...

Enjoy the site.good to have you on board..and dont hold back with the pommy humour.

As Captain has said I am glad that you made it through that ordeal and are alive with us today. Take a look around The Dark Side as I have a feeling you might find some topics you will like. Plenty of support in that forum and plenty of stories about addiction.

Welcome to Bluelight!! :)
