Today it's SEROQUEL

I've had long term (read: massive experience) issues with benzos and opioids also - I'm a new, old timer with pills

This month I've come to the conclusion that seroquel is slowly killing me. My thyroid is all messed up.
Diagnosed bi-polar
Really just pissed off with the world in general and my dr decided I needed sedating
Until I realized that quetiapine (quite-a-pain) is as hard to get out of my system as benzos and now I'm really pissed off and just need a place to chill.
If my past experience has been any indicator of just how fast my brain gets addicted to chemicals this could take over 90 days

I too am a longtime user/abuser of opioids. I am starting to taper on my own from 40mg of oxicodone I take about 5 of these a day,,, so I too am slowly killing myself,,I felt as tho it was time to wake up,,,but not only that I'm broke as hell!
 
It's almost impossible - but if you need advice I will monitor this page
40mg of anything is a lot to rid your body and brain of in a short amount of time

DOES ANYONE know what other medications make the side effects of seroquel (quetiapine) less AWFUL?

Alcohol isn't an option this round - the interaction is catastrophic -
Meclizine is giving me a weird out-of-body experience but helps with the nausea
My clonazepam is helping but I can't take as much as I would absolutely luuurve to take right now

I don't even think small doses of opiods would check this wreck right now.. uuughhhh!!
 
Well, I'm down to 100 mg of Seroquel - from 200 mg
I don't have any way of really measuring it because I have 400 mg tablets which are huge
What I do have is a jewelry scale - but it's not sensitive enough to weight smaller amounts my cuts are so light that it doesn't register

No i don't have a pill cutter - it's useless - I need a better idea

Dissolve it in water and possibly drink 1/4 of it? Lol
