I made an account years ago so I could post, but I forgot my username and password and anyway I don't use the same email address. So hi, I'm Niki, recovering drug addict who still dabbles from time to time but not in anything hardcore. Nice to meet you all!:)

iBinge, clever username you have! And I mostly misuse my gabapentin trying to feel nice, although that's not so effective anymore, and I take Tramadol for pain, sometimes more than prescribed but that's for PAIN not fun, even when I take more than prescribed! I wish they'd give me a REAL painkiller that actually took away my pain! Anyway, I also have since that post above investigated Kratom and purchased some, and it is nice, but doesn't do much for my pain, so I just bought some extract, and that should arrive any day now. I don't do anything illegal anymore...my husband smokes weed and I might have a puff or two but if I get stoned I have to deal with the paranoria. And I would LOVE to roll...if pain wasn't in the way...but it doesn't matter anyway because I can't find REAL MDMA. I've looked. I have a testing kit and everything I've found is pipez. I thought about looking for molly, not pressed pills, but most of THAT stuff is methylone. Ugh.

Nice to meet you! Ex-benzo addict here...ugh, that was a horrible thing to kick and I cannot believe the doctors left me on those meds as long as they did!!! Anyhoo thanks for the welcome :)

Jumping into the Kratom part of the thread... I have tried several kinds of it and initially thought it was going to be my "answer" to opioid addiction since its legal here and was supposed to mimic some of those feelings. Turns out that my body adjusted to it so damn fast that it stopped working for me pretty much right away. Now my tolerance to opiates is so high that its pretty useless. It may help in withdrawal though. Not sure. I was actually considering it to help me go through my current attempt at quitting. If you have a relatively low tolerance to opiates, you might enjoy it. But its like anything. You will quickly find yourself needing larger doses and then seeing it do nothing at all but give you a tummy ache. :p At least that is MY experience with it. Everyone is different.
 
Hi Sunflower Kitten! I love your avatar, it reminds me of a cat I used to have, a brown tabby named Sequoia. Anyway, boy do I ever know what you mean about tolerance. The extract arrived 2 days ago and it's already gone. I was floored by it the first day, still impressed with it the second and I used the last of it today and barely felt a thing. I wish I could get some REAL DRUGS for my back pain! But oh no, because I once a long time ago had a little problem with a Xanax addiction nobody is trusting me with any serious painkillers. Sigh. I don't want to take Tramadol daily either so I was hopeful that Kratom could provide sufficient pain relief so some days I wouldn't have to take Tramadol but the extract is too expensive to buy enough of to keep me pain-free even for a few days and the powdered leaf isn't strong enough. I was seeing a doctor who refused to write me a script of any pain meds so I'm going to go back to my GP and get a referral for a different doctor and try again. I need a different opinion. At least I have an MRI now that shows that I have not one but TWO herniated discs in the lumbar region.
