Hey ya'll looking to meet people in the southern Illinois area or just in general

Hey BLers,

I'm realatively new to new this but I'm attending southern illinois universitt. Working on my masters. Man, in my undergrad it was so easy to make friends and connections and now that Im masters its soooo hard. l still want to have fun and party (while being serious about school) while everyone else just wants to study.
How do I do it? It's getting lonely and my connections have run out. How do you recommend meeting people with 'similar' interests? I mean I can't exactly just walk up to someone on the street and be like 'oh hey man!'

So what do you recommend? I'm getting jaded, tired, and lonely.

I'm also in illinois...not at SIU, i'm closer to chi-town.

but undergrad here is alright....but nothing compard to highschool where people were chill and shit...

higher education pricks suck...it's like they don't even know how to have fun
