If this has already been said, my apologies.
Anywho I can't think of a single positive reason to stop with a physician prescribed and overseen taper with measured doses of proven effective medication in favor of a self medicated model. For one these drugs are extremely potent and this can pose problems with accurate dose measurement even when done with care, which I would consider to be very counter intuitive to the goals I perceive you having. And on top of that, the research chemical market is extremely high risk in my opinion as there is no objective third party to oversee and provide confidence in both the products and the measurements of quantity sent vs quantity ordered.
Tl;DR, I would have to advise against beginning to use grey market drugs with little to no clinical data in place of well known compounds with proven efficiacy. As someone else mentioned talk to your doctor, about either switching to a longer acting drug such as clonazepam or lorazepam. Be open and truthful and discuss your concerns and work together for a solution.
Why is it you take the alprazolam? And is it really a major inconvenience to your day to day activities? If it's anxiety based you could look into alternative methods of easing anxiety. Hope it works out well
